Jeff and Stefan, I'd love to run a game (or three) at the Dwarven Forge booth at GenCon Indy. My official game is slotted for Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, but I'd happily run games all day Saturday and Sunday.

I figure since my official game is already full, this way I could run a game for the forum fanatics (and the DF boys as well). This could serve as a demo for the product.

What do you think?

I've never been to GenCon, but my understanding is that they are VERY strict about where actual gaming can occur, and about how signing up for a game is done. If the DF booth can have an "open" game, they may be forced to allow anyone to sign up, not just our little in-crowd. If they are allowed to run a game as a demo, it might be restricted to vendors only, or it might be open to all comers.

Primary point here: This may not be up to Stefan and Jeff.

I could run 3- to 4-hour mini adventures, and happily take on all comers. Heck, we could even set up one good sized 1- or 2-hour battle, to be run as a demo, which we could repeat (with variations) throughout the weekend.

I'm pretty much up for anything. Running games is my idea of fun, and what better way to show off the product?

Thanks for volunteering Kradlo. Not sure what the layout of the booth is yet or if such a thing is viable or possible...gotta talk with Jeff about this one before we have any idea if it's something we want to pursue.......

Thanks!

I got the answer from Jeff:

Sorry, it sounds awesome, but we don't have the room to do something like that. Thank you very much for the idea though. Please stop by however and see the new Cavernous Lake Expansion Set setup.

And thanks for running an event using our stuff. We really appreciate it!

Jeff

So, time for Plan B. I know there is table space at one of the hotels across from the convention center. I can take over a table and run games there. Thursday I'll be playing L5R RPG, and Friday is my official game, but Saturday afternoon and evening, and all of Sunday, is open.

So, one way or another I will run a game for the forum fanatics.

Kradlo,

I have never been there but there must be a courtyard around. Since I travel just about every day I work I am superduper platinum with marriot and have boocoo points. I could try to persuede the fine folks there to use some of my points for a conf room. The only catch is that I must have a seat. What say you? Should I look into it?

Shad, if you can snag a conference room, you're guaranteed a seat at my table. Even if you can't get it, I'll make sure you get in my game, where ever I have to run it. I'll leave word at the Dwarven Forge booth for all forum fanatics.
