All I would like is an answer to this question from a few people, especially if there is anyone from Canada.

To those of you who have bought DF and had it shipped OUTSIDE of the USA.

Was the price on the shipping label on the package you received, the same as what you paid?

That is my main question.

I live in Japan. The price on my last shipping label was higher than DF charged me. So DF saved me $3.50 USD! Thanks DF team! Also, keep in mind that DF must pay for packing materials as well. In my opinion, I don't mind paying more to have my order shipped quickly and safely, as opposed to my order being crushed, damaged or lost if using a cheaper mail service.

No - it's not the same - it has been both higher as well as lower in the past.

Here are a few issues to keep in mind:

Extra costs: packaging, PayPal fees for foreign shipment, distribution center

Keep them in mind. Also have a look at USPS cost for shipment. Up to 1 pound non document service is $16.25 for 1/2 pound - the lowest you can go.

So assume the remaining is a flat surcharge. With my past experience this makes sense as from time to time DF gets charges more. For example when the ditribution center split my bigger order in two pasrts.

Now here come the problem. This model works if you order for 200+ dollars and >15 pounds. It is exessive for single small items. But my guess is - it takes DF as much time - therefore they aren't really interested.

Yep - bad for foreign customers. Not much we can do apart of waiting to make bigger orders, look on E-Bay for old stock / used items or have stuff send to someone in the US who sends it on.

it has been sometimes lower and sometimes higher.

Its cause they have a distribution center, and as mentioned before
those guys there sometimes split orders.

Its strange, but was really no big deal cause i order in large
quantities to save on postage.

i didn't read through this whole kitten caboodle but here's what i do...

i live in vancouver and have found that befriending an american(for me a resident of washington state) whose home can serve as a staging ground for pick up saves me a boatload of money. i travel a lot, and so do a lot of my friends too, so i sometimes get the stuff right away, sometimes don't.

if you live anywhere near the border, which most of our population do, it could definitely be an option...

and what better excuse to tell the customs official that you were down playing role-playing games with friends to avoid paying duty...
