After seeing how many uses (and options) there are for wooden stairs with the Medieval Building Sets being displayed recently, I really hope DF plans to include at least two sets (or preferably, 2 types) of stairs with the next MBS expansion set.

Having one set of stairs with a landing (DF-style) and one set of straight wooden stairs would be great.

Having only one set/type of stairs/set would not be enough to make full use, or provide sufficient variety to make truly effective use of the MBS pieces at hand.

I figured I would mention this earlier rather than later.

What kinds of stairs? Plain wood stairs? Open stairs (flat surfaces only)? Stairs with railings down both sides, or no railings? Dilapidated stairs? Fancy stairs with carpeted surfaces? What?

jackattack,

I really like the design of the DF Upper and Lower Stairs that are presently available for the MM line. The first set of (wooden) stairs I hope would be designed in a similar fashion.

The second set I hope, would be straight in design and again, designed as wooden stairs. The only additional note I would add is that if there are railings included, I would hope they are on both sides of the stairs for flexibility.

Finally, I was requesting these pieces for use as essential, basic building pieces and not as speciality (dilapidated or carpeted) pieces. Although your suggested options are interesting ones, I would really like to see these as part of a Ruinous Buildings Set or a Decadent Dwellings/WA Set once most/all of the essential building pieces have first been produced.
