OK -- awhile ago, we were talking about the Lake set.

And Stefan said something like "Well, it doesn't have anything that special in it. It can pretty much just make a lake. That's all."

And I told him that this sounded FAR too unimpressed with a product that had most of us freaking out for joy (or words to that effect).

But now I think I know what was going on -- Stefan, you prefer the MBS to the lake set, don't you?

You were in the midst of work on this new baby and thinking of all the things it can do, of whole medieval towns being set up, of massive taverns and town halls and garrisons and city gates -- and that was all you could think of, and the Lake set was being displaced as the object of your sculpting affection?

That's what I think.

In fact, it makes perfect sense -- middle child syndrome! Having waxed poetic about the River set, and looking forward to the new baby MBS stuff, you were finding it hard to get all enthused about the Lake set.

That's what happened, isn't it?

Well, we still love the Lake set, Stefan. Don't let it get the impression that you only care about the new baby, or in thirteen years the Lake set will be shoplifting from Target and smoking and going "too far" with boys. Negative attention is better than no attention at all!

He,he,he....no, no, no...I like the Lake Set very much...can't wait to get my six sets along with my 6 rivers and six MB sets...when I actually get to play with them that's another matter best reserved for retirement (oh I hope not!)
It's just that the full blown enthusiasm shown on this site sometimes makes me shake and worry about living up to the expectations...but that's a good thing of course.

After Gen Con we will be brainstorming on the next, next round of stuff...2007 here we come!!

Okay, now! SIX Cavernous River & Walls sets, SIX Cavernous Lake sets, and SIX Medieval Building sets!

What are you trying to do, Stefan? Beat me in the number sets you own? :P

Seriously, if anyone should own more Master Maze than I do, it OUGHT to be the guy that created it!

But I'm going to make you work for it, Stefan. I'm getting three MBS sets at GenCon.

We'll see what circumstances allow after that. :D

Wow that a lot of DF! So Stefan, how do YOU store your DF (when not in use)? Do you leave it in the boxes? Or do you have a shelf/box system that works well for you?

I wish I could afford more river sets. I have 4 now. I just posted some pics in the cool photos section of a setup that used all the straight, curved, and dead end pieces of all four lake sets. I only wish I had more. The lake sets will look great with this setup. I only have three lake sets coming though.

Have fun!

62 sets and counting. In addition, a boatload of individual pieces or sets of pieces.

I have a basement dungeon and a large cabinet where I keep the pieces outside of the boxes...I save a few boxes for traveling though just in case. I don't have six of every set, I average about 3-4 and then many more of the Orcs, Skeletons, and Lizardmen, hundreds actually...I like to stage huge war battles where 50 figs get wiped out at a time with fireballs and meteor swarms...it's just so satisfying when your Mage blows a hole in what once looked to be a massive and fearsome army...and you get to actually physically lay down that many figs instead of just abstractly imagining it...so much fun...mmmmwwwwaaaaaaa!!!, mmmmwwwaaaaaaaaahhhhhaaahhhhaaaa!!!!!!!!

Cant wait to blow a fireball in the huge underground Lake!

AH..hmmm... I did not really want to post this here but ok then...

I see you live about 90 minutes from me. I was wondering if some time you would like to come on up and go shooting. We have a fair amount of pistols, sub-machineguns, counter-sniper rifles, and silenced weapons. This is a typical outing for us:

I have extra hearing protection and shooting glasses :D

Once you have replied to this I will wipe this message.

BlackHawk1 -

I think I can top you when I tell you that my friend's wife said her Uncle had complained last year that it was getting too expensive to do the reloads for the .50 Browning Jeep-mount. And he was about to sell the 20mm due to lack of reloads - IF he could find a Class III or whatever it was licensee who wanted and could afford it!
Her two uncles used to take ALL the toys out once a year to their range and go nuts; by the end of the session, the powder smoke was thick enough to cut with a knife - and this was smokeless, modern powder (mostly)!
His proudest accomplishment with a handgun was a .44 Mag, 300 grain boattail with 20 grains of Unique; he said it FIRED well enough, but the damn recoil taught him the value of shooting from bench-rest - seated! And this guy had a wrist it took me both hands to circle (although that DID give me significant finger overlap).

Talk about your basic boom-boom-boom!

See ya!

JK-

Been there too but not with the big stuff. 20mm falls under a completely different category then CLass III so I never sold that.

I have sold everything from a 50 cal on down. Biggest sale by far was the guy who wanted 4 .50 cals and the quad AA mount to go with it. We found it all- took over a year but we got it all together for him. That was a $125k sale.
