...and it is meant to be the first of many above-ground sets that will finally allow our collectors to take their adventures into villages, towns and cities
Um...wow! Although I'm suprised that this is the tip of the iceberg, I'm dying to know what else you guys have planned...

..aside from the Medieval Building Wicked Additions.

The posibilities boggle the imagination!

We are already at work on the follow up set that MAY include stairs, pillars, fireplace, 6 x 6 floors, railings and other fun stuff. From there we should be able to see what our collectors want and meet the need. Personally, I would like to see a sewer set come along in a few years since it fits well with this genre...but who knows.

Railings! That sounds really great. Of course, stairs are essential for multilevel set ups. Hopefully even a couple of types of stairs, such as small ones, and big ones (or small ones that can somehow be stacked into big stairs).

One request regarding the stairs: Please make them w/o the door on the side! I much prefer the "stairs going down" floor tile over thedoor on the staircase.

I my layouts, almost everytime, I try on hide the staircase door...although I have used it as a closet/storage space before.

The follow-up pieces you mentioned sound great!

I noticed the windows are designed to receive full inserts. I can't wait to see how those turn out!

Another item I would like to see included would be a small stand-alone 2x2 wooden side building that could be used as either a shed or as a small stable-if used together. Two of these per set would be great.

I suggest this for three reasons:

First, they would be versatile. Apart from being used as either a shed or stable, they can be used within town, castle, wilderness or mine/cavern environments. Even collectors with multiple sets could easily use all of the pieces by having one or two (fair-large sized) stables in their town setup.

Secondly, sheds and stables would be essential to fill-out a the exterior portion of the town environment, providing hiding spaces, obstacles and escape routes from second-story windows.

Finally, they would add some variety to the external appearance of larger buildings as well.

Just a thought.

How about a medieval/western style "jail" piece with barred wall/door and barred window piece?
Shed/stable floor/wall pieces with modelled straw (and acouple of lurking rats!) ?
Need time to think about other pieces - ooh, ooh, feeling excited now.

Would you consider creating a couple of 2" long window pieces (designed the same way as in the MBS) but using the MM stone finish instead of the "tudor" style and then include them in the next Medieval Building Additions Set?

By doing this DF would enhance the range of the Medieval Building possibilities considerably, while cross-promoting the Deluxe Room Sets as a suitable, (and official) companion set for this new line as well.
