I know it might sound kind of crazy and I'm not sure how to eloquently spell this one out...

...the wife gave me $5,000 to set aside this year for more sets from Dwarven Forge!!

Ok, it's out there! You guys can't make enough sets to cover my custom-built game table! Can I put my money down as a pre-order to the unannounced pre-order sets -- before she changes her mind *laughs*.

I would love to go ahead and preorder the unannounced Mystery Set. There's really no mystery for me, like all of your other sets...it's going to be great! The only outstanding question that I have is this: Will I need only one or will I need 3, 4 or more. If possible, I would like to preorder one RIGHT Now! Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to add more, if needed.

PS-- with all of the hot ideas that everyone is posting in the Fantasy idea section, I hope you guys will be able to keep up. You guys may need to expand!

Thank You Dwarven Forge...and Happy 10th!

62 sets and counting. In addition, a boatload of individual pieces or sets of pieces.

Ghostmage -

Now THAT is a wife!
Although, I dunno, $5K; that sounds like a mortgage - or at least, a Home Equity Loan?
I'm glad to see that I'm not the ONLY guy out here with a wife that gets it!

See ya!

Wow! That's a lot of DF... *drool*

I honestly don't think I'd have anywhere to store that much... something on the order of 40-50 additional sets... wow!

How big is that custom-built table? And have you posted any pictures of it?

heh...thanks for the compliments guys on the wife. Yeah, I'm pretty lucky to say the least.

I'm sorry LoneStarr, I had a hard enough time finding mine...couldn't tell you where you can find yours.

fiddy -- I don't have any pictures of my table to share (no digital camera yet. All funds are being diverted to DF), but we're pretty excited with this recent edition to our gameroom. It's pretty unique and it's huge 6'x8' completely BLACK Magic in color. It was built by a Bulgarian craftsman, an American car stereo installer and a Game store owner here in the Phoenix area. The 4 matching bar stools were a bit expensive ($2600), but the dark wood and black leather was a perfect match and I had to have them! Here is the web-site for the stools if you are interested:

www.buckhornbilliards.com/barstools_beach.html

This big monster is hard to describe in writing...could never do it justice. The size may sound small but it's pretty massive to say the least. You'd have to see it. Some features: 7 layer texturing on the table-top itself in dungeon gray, bottom shelf was tricked out with car stereo carpet for the 4 speaker Bose sound system *laughs* and storage of DF pieces. I like to have atmospheric background music during D & D adventures, so I went all out.

It's truly a one-of-a-kind...not something that will be seen in everyone's house to replace the pool table or anything, but it's what I wanted. With the black curtains that surround it, hiding the bottom storage shelf and speakers, the wife jokes that it looks like a giant vampire coffin...laughs...and she's right!
