Thank you guys,

It's nice to be appreciated:) I am actually really excited to have the set for myself, I didn't mean to demean it in any way. It's just that I suppose it takes an understanding of what it is capable of doing to really appreciate it. A casual person might say, "well, it's just more water" we already have some of that...but you guys obviously can see it's potential. It's not much different from the River Set so nobody is going to be surprised by "the look"in fact, it HAS to look the same in order to work.
In any case, I did try to add some new elements just for koolness sake...

Thanks!

Stefan.

Hey! I'm with L here, Seems to me it worth to talk about the way Stefan talks about his own work. :-)
It's really funny, and I'm very curious about it. Other companies, one year before the release of a product, without knowing still how it will be and haven't seen it at all, says: "this will be the greatest product of this company, it will amaze the fans, you will not believe your eyes, your brain will explode... blablabla".
XDDDD and Stefan, having almost finished the work, barely says: "Lake set: Water and terrain. Kinda cool I think. really hope you like it".

Man, you are cool. When have you launched a product that has not have us all screaming in terrifying happiness?? XDDD

OMFG! I love this set! My husband and I have at least 1 of every set currently out - in most cases 2 - and we LOVE this stuff!

I have ordered 2 sets of the Rivers and Walls and am eagerly awaiting the Lake and Mystery bundles of joy.

Many thanks to Stefan and Jeff for the personal service and care they take with this product!

Welcome to the forums, RB!

You know, another great thing about this set that hasn't been getting a lot of attention -- those archway stalactites.

Those will be REALLY neat for stacking -- you can put some cavernous stuff (or regular stuff, for that matter) on the higher level, and then frame the portal with this arch, for a really neat, intimidating dark cavern for your players. And since it's a moveable wall, you can arrange the layering/stacking however you WANT, and there should be room to place this element -- you don't need to find room for a particular floor.

And even BETTER -- having the river itself vanish into that darkness. I'm already thinking this is going to be one of those things I photograph to death (cf. using backlit natural light on translucent models....) I picture a winding river that ends up disappearing under a raised cavernous element, perhaps rushing into a waterfall that descends to the next horrifying strata of terror......

L
wait, that should be "stratum" of terror I think....

Seconding Law on this one, the standing curved and straight walls should allow you to stack some of the non-square cavern set pieces and have them blend in well with another level. Also can't wait to build my elevated cave entrance overlooking an underground lake... Thanks Stefan you are doing a great job.
