Was this a stand alone or part of a larger set, whats it made of feels heavy for pewter.

I am sorry, but am I missing a pic from my computer?
The only metal Unicorn I can think of back then would be the one from Ral Partha, which if you got an old one, will be made out of lead pewter.
That will heavier than a lot of the metal minis these days which are usually of a lighter pewter based on zinc.
Do not know if this will help, but I tried.

There was more out there in 80 than Ral Partha. Grenadier, Copplestone, etc. etc. There's no identifying it based on that description. Hey guy, look on the underside of the base: sometimes there was a manufacturer's stamp there. Or post a pic.
