I'm glad you like them and find them useful. They aren't perfect but they work well. I was constrained with a 20 pixel increment so it made some of the pieces odd but good enough for most maps for gaming.

I still need to make sets for the cavernous passages, traps, advance builders set and fantasy floor set. I am waiting till the Dark World pieces come out or the cavernous lakes and rivers. Then I'll photograph a whole bunch at once.

Those are the Hardest, Cavernous Stuff more than Anything Else... (Or I have found it to be so in my Less than Humble Opinion)...

I tried DungeonCrafter. The pieces are too small and they don't fit together well. I did try and take some pics of Cavernous Passages for it. They didn't work out well either. The 20 pixel limit is too constricting for me at least.

Dungeon Crafter Does Not Work For Me, because it Crashes My System...<Chuckle>... But I Do Have a free Mapping Program that is Easy to Design Pices For... But again the Uneven/ Irregular Pieces are the Hard Part...

Well since my thread got 'jacked so long ago, I'll take it back:

I'm running yet another all-DF visualized module at RECON '05 in a few weeks. If anyone is interested in stopping by, it's at the Busch Gardens Comfort Inn on the weekend of April 22nd (my game is on the 23rd, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM). Big dungeon, lots of minis, AD&D 1e rules. Swing by and say "hello"!

Oh yes. Many photos will be taken. I'm setting up the night before, so all will be ready! :)

If you do make it, I'll be the tall guy in the blue "PVP" wizard's hat!

Dungeon Delver, I am Affraid that I was Not Able to Get down South this Past Weekend... How did it Go?

That depends on who you ask.

The Dwarven Forge setup was fantastic. I got the usual raves. "Oohs" and "ahhs" from all the folks 'round the table as the dungeon was unveiled. Not even the most jaded of wargamers could look at the outlay I have and not be moved to comment. The game itself...well...

Let's just say I had some great players...and I had some bad players. Some really, really bad players. At the end of the game, one of the Con organizers stopped by my table as I was packing up* and said "Hey...I hear you had (certain person) and (certain person) in your game. Sorry to hear it." They gamed fairly well but they're really poor at being people, you know?

Anyway, the game was Saturday from 9:00 until 6:00. Friday evening as I was settling down to watch my brand new Kung Fu Hustle DVD (thank you, Hong Kong imports!) at the hotel, I suddenly recalled that I forgot to pack my "boss monster" mini! :( :( :(

Incidentally, it was to have been this guy:

...which may not look like much, but understand this thing looms six inches over the tabletop. And I spent a couple of weeks painting him. So you can imagine how disappointed I was.

That and I neglected a fundamental game rule (which didn't end up mattering, in the end). So I was more than a little disappointed with the game. Coupled with hotel problems and the fact that I "hired" a pair of game-masters to come out and run games and nobody signed up for the games they ran and I was pretty unhappy.

But, again, the folks who played in my game all told me it was great and the report back to the con organizers was that I ran a really good table...so on the outside looking in, it was good. From my POV, not so good.

EDIT:Forgot my footnote.

(*For the first time ever, I had a concerted effort by my fellow players to help me pack up my Dwarven Forge stuff. In the past, I've done it all by myself and if you think setting up a massive crawl like that is tough, try breaking it down! Needless to say I was very grateful.)

As Far as Not Being Prepared, Ouch... That is Always Rough on the Old GM's Ego, But If All was Reported Happy on your Table then It Sounds like you Covered well, So Kudos!

Happened to stumble across this old thread... I don't suppose DDM that you've done the photos with the new sets too have you?

A few. My PC is in a sorry state right now, so it'll be a while before I can post anything though.
