Hi therigwin,

I was wondering, for those clutzes out there like myself that cannot draw for the life of us, whether or not we have computerized aid, when you would be doing .wmf files for Wicked Editions I and the Advanced Builder sets?

Those sets along with traps, narrows, diagonal wall, etc., which you have not done, would be fabulous.

I have taken the .wmf file and converted all of the pieces so I can use them in Corel WordPerfect Presentations. I have enjoyed using them there along with my coloured pencils and graph paper composition book that I use. The computer lets me do tactical analysis while the comp book lets me simply layout the design for reconstruction later and/or at a different site.

Were you planning to do anything for the Sci-Fi sets? They could be greyed to make them show differently than the like Fantasy pieces.

Thank you therigwin for what you have done so far. Have a great weekend!

Probably no on the Sci-Fi sets as I will never really use those, as to the Traps, Wicked Addition 1, Advanced Builders, Narrow Passage, etc... (All the sets I do not own), at this time, no plans to make those until my players get me those sets as gifts or my wife lets me go buy more.

The secret to making the pieces was this -
I took the more difficult ones (Cavern Set) and took a picture of them using my camera from the top down. Then I imported that picture into corel draw, scaled it to the right size and then traced on top of it to get the basic shapes.

Glad you enjoyed them and can use them.

Found out a way for folks to modify the Room & Passage pieces and the 6x6 from the WA-II set and the crevasse floor piece from Fantasy Floors for the three Sci-Fi sets.

Just remove the bow tie holes, the white square that covers the line under the bow tie hole, the 6x6's circle and the 4x6's crevasse!
That takes care of every Sci-Fi piece so far other than the columns and the ramp.

Maybe, if we ask real nicely, therigwin might do the ramp for us, yes?
I am not talented enough to crank it out with the gradations of grey to show increased/decreased height.

I am still trying to figure out how to modify therigwin's spiral staircase to get the curved wall piece.
I definitely do not think I am going to be able to get the curved passage out of it though.

To get the 4x6 for the WA-I set, I just removed the crevasse, but left the bow tie holes.
Granted it does not have the rectangle drawn on it like the piece, but it still works.

Additionally, I have colored my set of templates - a cold grey medium (128,128,128) for MM fantasy, a blue grey for Sci-Fi (77,96,157) and a sepia brown for cavern (129,82,59).
I went with the cold grey medium so as to reduce the draw on the black ink cartridge without losing clarity.
I did not mess with the spiral staircase.
Was too worried about screwing it up when I am this sick & tired.
I colored the walls on the blocked passage with the grey, but did the collapsed material in the brown.

I will some time this week, tell how to get the AB pieces out of what therigwin has already given us.
I think we can get all of them.
It is too late to do it right now.
Good Night!

Sorry.
Forgot about the Sci-Fi vents and diagonal pieces.
I do not know how to do those yet.

I progressed into getting more sick with this creeping crud that my younger son brought home from school.

I will do the AB ones later next week probably.

Sorry.

Yes I have come up with some decent enough looking "Basic" Pieces, but Caverns Are VERY tricky!

I tried taking photos of the cavern pieces and resized them, but it is a lot of work for one piece.
