This set could be better named but would basically include the following -

A wall piece with a secret door that is bookcase.

A free standing bookcase (x2)

A wall peice that includes a hearth / Fireplace (with a possible secrect door in the back)

A pig on a spiget for the hearth

A desk

This set could be used to make inns, taverns, mansions, etc with existing DW sets.

Great ideas Therigwin!

I think the hearth/fireplace piece should DEFINITELY have a secret door.

And I'd add to the list:

An alcove with a window that opens and closes. Adventurers (particularly Rogues) are always entering and leaving rooms by climbing in and out of windows.

A long, low bookcase that could also serve as a tavern bar, a shop counter, or a wizard's workbench.

A wall piece with a large painting that swings open to reveal a wall safe.

Maybe some specialized doors. Like the kind that have a top and bottom that open seperately. (Good for taverns and shops) or the kind with a grilled window in the middle. (Good for prison cells and guard rooms)

Another idea. I've always thought any "Chamber" set pieces should have a tiny pin-sized "peg hole" built into the middle of each wall piece. This could be used to hang accessories such as torch holders, hanging lanterns, swords and shields, etc. to really customize each room.

And maybe some standing suits of armor. Rooms in castles always seem to have plenty of standing suits of armor.

Transit,

Were we to Branch out from the "Original/Currnt" Themes, then I still Vote for a "Defined" Modular Tavern/Inn Set... Maybe Wood Floors and Walls, With some "Exterior" Walls with Windows and Wood Panal on the "Inside" and Stone on the "Outside"... AND LOTS of the Goodies and Accessories we all want in ANY Lived in Environment...

That Said, I Like the Idea of the Massive Wall Sections, (Think Demon Arch and Mermaid Fountain), for the Fantasy that Could Include things like Fire Places, Chains on the walls, (For a Torture Chamber), and a "Grand" Entry of some sort... Oh and of Course a "Dwarven Forge"...<Smirk>...

I'm going to put the idea i had into the Mix here.

Living Locations
The Idea is actually pretty much the same as the Rest of the DF line, Like the Sci Fi, Dungeon, and Cavern bits, but just with a different Texture or wall set up. And possibly (even though i really don't like to paint) be un painted.

the General concept is A Living Area, some one mentioned the Out Door terrain, but this isn't like that, it is more of the walls are "alive".

The Corridor and room sections would each have Supports, on the edges of the Walls, or the Corridor sections, that would be verticle. These Verticle Supports would be designed to look, Kind of like Bambo or Bone, segmented, (think well bambo or the url=www.reapermini.com/albums/2600s/2654_G.jpg] Wing Segments [/url] and depending on how it was painted would be a different Living Thing. If painted White, it is Bone for a living or unliving (undead), Brown is Wood, and you could even go kind of black Gray for an Alien like look.

The Sections Between would be a rough bumpy kind of texture, wich would varry, from almost smooth in places to almost Stuco like, so that if painted Flesh, or putrid flesh it could be alive or undead, green like leaves of a tree or some other Photosynthetic material, or even more of that kind of gray/brown/black like the Alien carapice. Depending on how you make it look (and this is where it gets hard to explain you could pull anumber of these off, and it would just be the painting color shceme that would determine what it is, Flesh, Undead, Vegitable, or Insect like.

Doors could be done in a kind of an iris (sigh people might be juvinle but it is the correct word when i describe the living...)... have the frame like in the Sci-fi, but when the iris closes slide in a piece that looks like a cross between closed stoma (stomata) for plant, or a closed tight sphincter for living/undead. Again color determines what it is, why i almost think it needs to be sold as unpainted, or maybe with a few of the same pieces common to all, the DF paints, and then a few that give it more of a living/undead with skulls, alien with weird bits, or more leafy designes for plant.

This could work for that alien Terrain in a Sci fic game, as er alien, or some Bio Tech using race, for Necromancers in a Fantasy (the Undead) or Elven or Wookie or Ewok etc Cities in both Fantasy and Sci Fi.

The Hirst Egyptian theme items are all right if you want to go that direction, work and mess.
Have you looked at the Egyptian terrain items that Armorcast cranks out?
They are really well done.
They are at: www.armorcast.com/
Then just click on the Egyptian connection in the Terrascape area.
Cool stuff including temples.

BTW folks, the sarcophagi and inner mummy coffins, the smaller Anubis statue and the small sphinxes made by Armorcast are small enough to use inside MM layouts.

Mini games, eh Willypold?
Have you tried out Wargods of the Ægypticus?
You might like that one if you like Egyptian themes.

Congratulations on getting married to both Monica and yourself Willypold.
Some say death is the great journey; I say life with a good woman is the great journey.

Bon Voyage on the cruise.
Keep the repellant and the netting handy.
Texans think they have large skeeters there, which they do actually;
they have not tried dealing with Nile ones though.
Large and aggressive!
