What are your ideas on making multi-levels building ?

My idea is to have a few 1/4 inch boards of 4x4 or 4x6 inches. Putting them on top of DF building first floor, using pillars as support if needed. Then build the second floor on top of that.

Would it be solid enough ?
Would we have to demolish the second floor to show the first floor ?
Is there a way to make it better and modular ?

I can always use a board of fixed size. I can then lift the whole second floor easily. That's what I'm currently doing, but that's not very modular, and only allow one size (or one size per board)

But it works, since most of the time, the buildings are about the same sizes.

What do you think ?

(the roof does not fit correcly because it was not deisgned for DF)

I use Foamcore Board which is pretty sturdy... I built up a 4 story "tower" with it and it held fine.

Perhaps a book shelf would help provide "stories" to your buildings. ;) Ahem...

Maybe the word was not chosen correctly ? English is not my first language... or was it just a pun ?

Well, if you want to overboard, you could always do the plexiglass 'levels' like Mike IO and I did.
They are NOT cheap, but they REALLY give you elbow room under the floor to maneuver your miniatures.

See ya!
