Hey, I'm impressed by the speedy response to a question I asked regarding the new doors. Not only did I receive an e-mail response on the issue - a real e-mail, not a form reply - but the sale price on six-packs of the new doors went on the website immediately after!

Now THAT'S cooking with gas!

Now all I want is... modular sewer system, modular tavern set, modular castle set, underground rivers, and anything else the twisted minds of Stefan and the gang can conceive!

Make mine Master Maze! :D

I like the new site. I'm on broadband and noticed that sometimes it's a bit slow to load. Not sure if it's my current connection or not but just thought I'd bring that up.

On another note, how long is the sale going to last?

Thanks!

Wow! Kudos to DF -- that was fast! The "skip intro" option, the door pack, a lot of subtle improvements based on our responses in record time!

You guys rock! I'm hoping the sale lasts another few weeks, I have another order ready to go -- I just want to be SLIGHTLY patient, get my first order in my hands before I start ordering more....

Hey everybody, this is Tom...the guy that was working on the Tile Construction Kit. Just wanted to chime in and give you a status on the project.

Basically I am a graphic/web designer and as such it was easy to build a program that would hold all the DF pieces and allow you to place them down on a grid and print them. This basic functionality was not enough for Stefan and Jeff and ultimately you, the consumer, demanded more as well.

To take it to the next level, we would require the services of a programmer that would be able to design the enhanced features that are beyond my skill set. Currently we can not find such resources without paying a hefty price for services.

Not to mention my time spent designing the new Dwarven Forge website...It's just been hard to dedicate any time to it. So until I can find some programming resources...the project is indefinately on hold. I do want to do something with it, but I cannot guarantee any timeframe.

That being said, those of you who really want to see this application should buy more Dwarven Forge and get your friends to buy more, so Stefan and Jeff can afford to pay for the robust application you are all looking for.

Thanks and feel free to email me with any questions or comments

Well folks, here appears THE WORD that a couple of you wanted so desperately.

Tom's idea of buying more MM so as to pay the programmer is a good one.

A better one is that one of you who is a programmer should volunteer to do it for free or if one of you are friends with a programmer, you should arrange for the program to be done for free.

DF has done so much for us; it is time for the community to do something for itself.
Especially, those who want this daft software so BADLY!
KenM, Mr, Morden and the ilk - if you want this software so bad, help out!
Now is the time that you, who want this software so bad and/or those who just feel like helping out the DF community, need to stand up, be counted and arrange for this software to be ironed out at no charge for DF and the community.

What say y'all?

Hello Everyone,

This is Stefan Pokorny, CEO of Dwarven Forge. I wanted to personally apologize for the Map Maker program's failure.

Tom did the best he could considering his lack of time and our lack of funds. I think he has done a marvelous job in all the other area's we have ransomed him for.

Now that I mention it, Jeff has also done an incredible Job keeping Dwarven Forge alive through a tough Industry climate.

The world is changing... but my Love for Role playing and Creating models have not diminished through the years. Dwarven Forge continues as a labor of Love. It gives me incredible Joy to browse the Forums and see fellow gamers like myself from all over the world sharing their thoughts and creativity through the vehicle of Master Maze. I hope it lasts forever and am proud to be involved in some small part of the continuing survival of Fantasy and Creativity. Like all of you, I am sure, some of my fondest memories come from nights around the table laughing and joking with others, opening our hearts and minds to strange ideas and fantastic lands.
The 3-D Pieces were a natural extension of my Artistic existence and it makes me so happy to see how other players around the world have made the pieces their own and designed creations beyond anything I would have attempted or envisioned, Bravo! Bravo!

Dwarven Forge is a very small home grown company. Although it has been incredibly gratifying I have never made a living through it. It survived for many years only through the generousity of my adopted parents, partners, and friends who continue to believe in me and my crazy dreams... but I will also never forget that Dwarven Forge continues because of all of you guys and gals out there who buy the stuff we make. A deep bow to you all!

I hope you all stay with us as we search for ways to survive in what hopefully will be many years to come.

Sincerely,

Stefan Pokorny.

No Stefan, we should all be thanking you for the ingenuity and artistic talent you have had in getting Master Maze out to all of us.
No matter the method you used to keep Dwarven Forge alive, it was you and then Jeff doing it.
You both deserve a “hats off from all of us in the gaming community.

Moreover, we should all be thankful for Tom and his efforts on the WEB page.
Thank you Tom.

Stefan, you have made possible visualizations that just would not have been practical with 2-D terrain/maps and you then mass marketed the 3-D results out to all of us.
You have kept Dwarven Forge going these last almost 10 years with sheer determination and a quality product.
Also, with a good dollop of luck in the finding of Jeff, not that that was too difficult as I understand the story.
You nearly singlehandedly created the industry of fantasy and SCI-FI 3-D interiors for gaming.
Your efforts have spawned imitators that together y'all have created a new sector in the gaming industry.

I do not feel Stefan that you should be too sad about the map maker.
It was an idea that y’all thought was cool so you tried to make it possible for all of us.
Not every idea is actually feasible and/or even a good idea.
The map maker is evidently none of those.

Again Stefan, I will contend that all of us gamers should just be thankful and grateful for your ideas and efforts on our behalf in gaming and specifically with Master Maze.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

We have made many of the changes you guys have asked for...thanks!

Hi Jeff,

I am sure I am asking for many gamers here, but can we please have a special like the new Fantasy doors' 6-pack special for the Sci-Fi doors?
PLEASE?!?
With only one Sci-Fi set providing the doors and only two at that, we really need access to these doors this way.
Some of the guys are content with the doors they have found in the Grendel mini line.
The bulk of those do not really fit Master Maze well size-wise so I hope that you will do this special.
The Sci-Fi doors can be used with all of the sets, not just the SciFi ones, so this special may get other folks to buy them as well.
Thank you for the new WEB site specials.
I am still planning on buying a good number of items later this month when I get paid.
Read you soon.
