I don't know if this is a problem at my end, or something that can be addressed at DF's end.

When I log on I see some forums and threads marked with a blue box to indicate that posts have been added. But if add a post to a thread, the boxes disappear and I have to check the dates on each thread in each forum to see if there is still new content I haven't read.

Any thoughts on how this might be addressed, at either end?

Same thing used to happen to me untill i figured away around it. It was kinf of annoying to have to hunt up the new stuff after i posted.

The box disapearing i think has to do with the amount of time you are on an looking at stuff. If you are just nipping in and out it stays around (for me at least), or you do a quick post it stays around. But if you take the time to write a "long" one it goes away as you pass the time limit for the "new posts". So when you go back to the page it's not "new" anymore.

So what i usally do is just hit the "Show new posts since last visit" in the upper right hand of the board. Then when that page opens and shows me all the new stuff. I just open a new window from that list of posts, and go look at the ones i am curious to read. That way all the new stuff stays put in window/page untill i refresh or close it.

I've had the same experience as Harneloot. Firefox seems to fix the problem. Perhaps Doug can suggest a fix for IE.

Doug refuses to accept that IE even exists. He needs a 12-step program.

HEY!

I get excellent results with Internet Explorer 7; I have no idea why YOU GUYS can't!
All ribbing aside, I know different strokes for different folks, and all that. But a lot of times, users are prone to blame M$ for problems that rightfully belong elsewhere. An-nd, Firefox is NOT the be-all, end-all that some people think it is; I seen some DOOZYs from that monster, too!
