Another thing I'd like to see in a ROTA expansion would be a bridge for use with stacked settings. Sort of like the Cavernous Chasm bridge. The straight lines of ROTA make it very easy to stack, especially with the intersection pieces. We know we're getting columns, which would make great support either for stacking higher levels or for a bridge or elevated walkway of some kind. I think it would be great to build a ruined city with this stuff, have walkways connecting higher levels. That, railings, and the stairs we also know we're getting, could all work together for phenomenal effect....

What I think the ROTA line could use is an Advanced Builder Set. With the 4" rooms with offset openings, floor tiles with 1/2 walls and corners, and 1/2 floor tiles, the 1"x2" variety, would allow for maximum use of space around the sweet room/passage/intersection pieces form ROTA1.

Not sure if this should go here, but it occurs to me that if you have multiple lines (RotA, DoE, MBS, Classic, and Caverns) you could set out one as a "baseline", then replace pieces when illusions are cast/dispelled, or when areas are transformed by magic or divine will, or whatever.

When a wizard casts the various spells that create shelters and/or tesseracts, the GM or the player should decide what motif those spells will create -- that's another good excuse to bring out your DF and mix styles, especially if the GM allows (extradimensional?) creatures to gain unauthorized entry.

I did the illusion thing for DOE in my Banewarrens game. One of the players has the pics and I will post them as soon as he gets them to me.
