DoE Room set 5 Years, 11 Months ago
I know that the DoE line has been around for a bit. I just received my third order. Part of that Order was the DoE room set. I thought I better get one just since they are a limited edition line. The photos of the DoE really only scratch the beauty of the is set. I cannot wait to order another room set. This set is so really really awesome. I love the braziers with removable fire. The 6 inch walls are fantastic! This set is really something to be excited about if you are a proud owner of one. I can't wait to use it in my next gaming session where we enter the planes which are touching the far-realm. I had felt I needed to express my excitement! Thanks for reading.

Indeed - the pictures just don't do the set Justice. I'm pretty sure there is suppose to be more DOE Wicked Editions sets coming in eventually - these are also really awesome!

And once you have those two, how can you resist some DOE passageways?

I won't be able to resist. I am addicted. I believe I read the DoE Addition set will be restocked in November. I would like to have 2 DoE room sets, 2 DoE WA sets, and 1 DoE R&P.

Welcome to the "club" ;)

Now you have a focus to get rid of your disposable income ... and some of the not-so-disposable income :D

I agree with Harneloot ... the caverns were the last sets I started to collect but are now my favorite, by far. The water elements are fantastic !!

When I do buy the cavern series will most likely buy 2 Cavern sets at a time. Which two would work well for openers? 1 passage & 1 Cavern? Or two caverns? I have found in my set ups I have been leaning toward less passage use and more sharing of walls between two or more rooms. I am not opposed to passages. It seems get more rooms per set up this way.

I'd say 2 caverns first, then maybe another cavern and a cavernous passageway, them so fun water stuff and a chasm set and eventually another passageway.

I've found when I do caverns that I almost always need pieces from 2 or more basic cavern sets....

Yep, a couple of basic caverns is how I started. Then the Water sets and then, finally, a couple of Passage sets. And I wants more of each !!!

For me, starting out, the need to have larger cavern set-ups steered my purchases - no matter how cool tunnel fighting is. I rarely got to do the full, sprawling, show-case set-ups that some have shown on this site so connector passages weren't critical for me at first.

Let me suggest, as you develop your wish list, that you keep an eye on stock levels of the sets you want or will want. It's no fun finding the funds for a set but realizing it's gone out of stock and won't be available for another year (or more). Let those stock levels factor into your order of purchases, too.

Ah thanks for the tip, I didn't even think about stock levels on "non limited" edition sets. I will keep that in mind on my purchases.

Ok so getting 2 Cavern first sounds like the way to go. Another question, Do you like the River or Lake sets better?
