those are both good ideas L. I think it's quite possible that a sort of cavern "additions" set might be possible. The caverns continue to be a great seller for us and i feel that this Set has sort of opened another dimension? and perhaps will need further embellishments...

Hello All,

I totally agree, a Cavernous Wicked Additions, or Cavernous Advanced Builder set would be fantastic to make some really great 'finished, organic' looking set ups. As Thoth mentioned also, a way to transition multilevel waterways smoothly is a highly needed piece.

We also need to bring the water into the dungeon.... YEAH... maybe more organized flow so they can be put right into a dungeon with a few sections for making them cross corridors or through walls in rooms and of coarse blend with cavern pieces.... I know I know one thing at a time.....

Some more cavern 'dressings' would be great - more variants for the stalagtites, some more large rock formations for critters to hide behind in the centre of large cavern set ups and how about a second floor tile variant to break up the symmetry effect that large cavern floors can sometimes suffer from.

No complaints from me though - keep the cavern stuff coming - it's what got me into DF in the first place. Its Fantastic!

Another thing that I believe would be VERY useful -- "support columns" for the corner "ledge" pieces. When placed on top of cavern corners, those ledge pieces require support or they just topple backwards. As the area below would be covered, it's a waste of valuable DF elements to actually place a floor there, so I'd love to see a support column designed to reach the top of the wall FROM THE TABLE ITSELF. Just something basic. Sure, we could try to cobble something together ourselves... after all, it will be completely covered and out of sight.. but I'd love to see something official. Plus, if it's cool-looking, we could use it in the context of the cavern itself, despite being too tall to use as support for something itself (after all, the supercool stalagmite piece we just got is too large to serve as support, but it's just neat to look at anyway...)

Of course, it MIGHT be possible to see what's under there, despite the fact that the "ledge" piece ends in a straight line and would look odd if it wasn't placed right next to some other cavern element (which would obscure whatever is below) -- some people might still want to leave the area open, so a column that works as support would still be neat. The current stuff is not QUITE appropriate (though the "waterfall" rock column that came with the river set is a good start.. still, most people have probably only 1 or 2 of those, and we'd neat a LOT more to be really useful)

I just got my chasm sets, and I am really impressed, especially by the big stalacmites. The stairs will be very usefull, and the edge pieces are really nice as well, and they can be used with black cloth as chasm edges, or with water pieces (how, I don't know yet).

Thanks!

I like the whole new set, and I REALLY like the stalagmites and the large flat rock formation. They are beautiful.

If a cavern wicked addition set is done, the one thing I would by far most desire for it to include is mushrooms! Almost every D&D adventure or art about the underdark has mushrooms of different types and sizes, and having at least one or two types to use as cavern dressing would be awesome.

Stefan, Jeff,

A cavern wicked editions would be great. Tar pits, lava pits, and mushrooms oh my. Lots of mushrooms, at least 4-5 differnt colors and sizes. What do you think?
