TOPIC: Thanks Jeff
#66757
Thanks Jeff 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Well, just received an email saying that Jeff is leaving. So sad.

I had the pleasure to deal with Jeff a couple of time for different orders and it was always a pleasure to do so. Top notch customer service and a true gentleman.

Jeff, I wish you all the best with True Dungeon. If I ever get to go to GenCon, I'll be sure to stop by!

Congratulations to Jeff for True Dungeon! Of course, we will miss him here but having to leave in order to focus on something so successful is a 'good problem' to have.

With any big change I'm sure there is some trepidation on Jeff's part so I wish him good fortune and many kind thanks for everything you've done here at DF.

I have to admit. Jeff leaving is making me really sad and, in all honesty, a little nervous. Obviously, I wish him the best with True Dungeon, but I am going to miss his outstanding customer service. Whoever takes his place has big shoes to fill. I am a little nervous that the customer service of DF may go down a bit without Jeff. Obviously, Stefan's talent, perfectionism and pride in his products are a huge reason why DF is so loved. But, I must admit, part of why I love DF is also because of the outstanding customer service I have received from Jeff. Man, he will be missed. Again, I am sad to see him go....I hope his replacement can keep up the tradition of great customer service that I have grown to expect from DF.

Addicted to DF - Proud owner of 147 DF sets and counting = 126 new non-bowtie sets, and 21 older bowtie sets! By some miracle, I have managed to avoid wife aggro so far...

No doubt Jeff will be sorely missed here at the Forge...it was a 10 year run! In that time he oversaw many changes and his input and guidance was of great value. He had a steady and reliable hand at the helm and lent his creative juices to many great classic Dwarven Forge Sets such as the Realm of the Ancients, the Den of Evil line, the Medieval Dungeon line, and others....many of you might not know, but before I hired Jeff he was already doing his True Dungeon extravaganza in his home town of Carbondale, IL....I met him one year at Gen Con when I was particularly swamped at the booth and he and his friend offered to help out on the spot in exchange for product...so successful were they that I invited them back the next year and the next...so it seemed logical to turn to Jeff as DF grew even larger...I introduced Jeff to Peter Atkison, owner of Gen Con and urged him to bring Jeff's True Dungeon as an event there, at the time they were mulling about doing something similar but Jeff won them over by sending Peter one of his infamous trapped scroll cases....(correct me if I mis-remember Jeff)That did the trick i think, and True Dungeon has been growing strong for the last 10 years and has become THE premier event at Gen Con selling out every year in a matter of minutes....At the SAME time Jeff has run his Carbondale sign shop and raised a beautiful family....so he is a man of many hats and talents and little sleep! Shortly after Reaper's successful kickstarter I knew we had to act fast and knew it was time to gamble on metal molds....I called Jeff frantically and his response was: I was thinking much the same thing...thus was born the new line of Dwarvenite! It was Jeff's idea to implement this very Forum which to me was the single best thing he ever did as it has brought great pleasure to me, and has brought everyone here together and fostered a wonderful community worldwide:)
So thank you Jeff!
A toast to you and best wishes in your continuing and new adventures!
