Catacombs Set DELAYED! 1 Year, 11 Months ago  
It is with much sadness that we have to announce that our shipment of the Catacombs Set has been delayed due to unavoidable circumstances. I think this has happened once before -- but never right before Christmas -- and Stefan and I are really bummed about it.

The best possible information that we have now is that the USA shipment won't arrive at our fulfillment center until Monday, Dec. 17th. If that holds true, then it would appear that those at a 3-5 shipping day window won't receive their pre-orders for the Catacombs Set until a few days after Christmas. We will make announcements as soon as the container arrives at our fulfillment center in Knoxville, TN -- and at that time we will post a map with an estimated delivery date.

For those in Canada and other non-EU countries, I am afraid there is no chance that you will see your Catacombs Set before Christmas.

And, of course, we could be hit with another delay in US Customs -- but I am hopeful that our string of bad luck delays is over.

If anyone would like a complete refund of their pre-order, please send an email to jeff}at{dwarvenforge.com (remove the "}at{" and replace with "@").

Stefan and I really feel bad about this turn of events, and we very much wish it was otherwise. Unfortunately, it is a constant issue with the manufacturing of our sets that is unavoidable. We were really looking forward to making a lot of gamers happy this Christmas with the Catacombs Set -- and with all the re-stocks we will be getting in. But alas, it was not to be.

I know it will be worth the wait. Any chance that since its delayed you can open up more preorders? I wanted to order 3 sets, but I had car issues.

I'd even pay the 149.00 price as long as I got the extra floor pieces.

Don't beat yourself up over this delay, sometimes delays are unavoidable.

I would like to request you open up the pre-order for one week so we can add more sets. These extra two weeks has given me some loose change I want to get rid of!!! ;)

What better way than through DF?

Totally understand, but it would be great if someone would actually answer at that email address, I have mailed a couple times since Gen Con with an issue with no response at all.

Tried that too and no reply. I love their stuff and have been buying it for 10 years, but WOW customer service is really bad now. spent about $400 at GEN CON for Christmas and now I have to try to figure out different gifts since the hold up for the catacombs set will also hold up everything else I ordered I had hoped to work something out to get the rest delivered for chirstmas but 3 months of email and phone messages all have gone unanswered.

I am surprised that you haven't heard from them. That has never been my experience. Whenever I call there is someone there to pick up and talk to. Your experience is definately not the norm.

Yeah... I second what jericho said. Not getting satisfactory service is deffintely NOT the norm. I talked to Jeff as recent as last week. I called to add a Hellscape set to my pre-order since they were on sale. He added a small shipping fee, but it was less than if I had it shipped individually. I reached him on the first call.

A few weeks ago I also reached him on a first call when I needed some COA's that were not included with my Woodlands sets. He had them in the mail immediately, and I got them a few days later.

I have never had any negative issues with DF customer service (which, from my experience, means Jeff!). Its a small operation for sure, so I totally believe there could be times of calling and not getting through. Just keep trying (though it sounds like you have!). Its a head scratcher to me.
