I love this idea! Let's see.. what would I like to see...

I'll confine my thoughts to dungeon stuff, since this would be an expansion to the set we've just seen, and so ROTA or MBS ruins feel inapt to me.

I'm not crazy about ruined passages -- as always, I'm not a huge passage fan, even with the ABS2 set.

Ruined Dungeon Entrance - that would rock!

I'd also like to see ruined versions of classic DF dungeon elements -- ruined pillars, ruined mermaid fountain, ruined spiral staircase.

6" x 6" Floor Tile with 3" x 3" rough real hole (and insert)

DEFINITELY. One problem with the current set is that it wouldn't work too well for "stacking" since the edges of pits would be VERY hard to support. Since it would make sense for the UPPER level floors to have holes, more than the lower, it would be frustrating and somewhat backwards. A solid floorpiece with a hole in the middle would be awesome.

I'd also like to see either of the two large dungeon floor pieces (4x6 or 6x6) done in an "L" shape -- so you could have a larger hole. Plus, that would allow for modularity -- you could either use just the L-shape alone for a really ruined look, or combine them for a huge cavernous hole. At that size, they'd be easier to support than the 1" ones.

I like the idea of more rubble piles for placement -- not the walls we are going to be seeing, which have their uses, but something more like the rocks in the cavern sets -- free-standing ways to give more variety and more of a chaotic terrain.

Ruined statues would be cool, too. Regular statues I don't feel the need for, since it's possible to paint up Reaper figures that way. (I suppose DF fans don't always like to paint, of course...)

Probably only one expansion is really needed, though. The ruins idea is awesome, but it feels pretty self-contained -- this one set feels a lot more complete than, say, either MBS or ROTA did after just one offering.

Hello all,

I must had my voice to the idea that one set of ruins in enough for now and i would prefer to alternate between settings instead of pushing one theme in 2 sets in a row. Wicked additions 3 seems to be the next one after ruins so that is good.

I would put sewers, tower and Streets set before another ruins set.

That being said, i love the new ruins set and i'll buy 3 this coming august. So i think that speaks highly of the respect i have for the artist that is Stefan.

I think you have to experience a good encounter next to that piece. It's a right of passage that we must all go through at some point.

for the next sets, I would prefer that DF will create something that I can't find elsewhere (I don't know..a set with modular Elven architecture, Ice Cavern, etc)

there are a lot of products of other companies that already have ruined statues, ruined columns or thing like that..
I think that it's a waste to use the time and abilities of Stefan to produce something that already exist.

This ruined Set is nice, because fit very well with the other dungeon sets and I doubt that I will resist without buying at least 1, but to be honest I've already many ruined elements (Walls, gates, columns, entrances, etc) buyed or easily built with Hirst Arts.

This was a reply with a quote, but I kluged the quote while editing it down to the part I was replying to. I couldn't fix it, so I decided to start over.

But I can't delete my own post! Seriously, guys, give the poster the option of removing his own posts.
