Hi Jeff,

Has anything else (that was previously out of stock) now available? Any word on the Treasure and Magic Items Set?

Thanks,

-Bob

A few thoughts...

1. AWESOME. Cannot say it enough.

2. I seem to recall a debate about "lava vs. ice" and I'm really glad to see this. Both would work well for fantasy as well as sci-fi, but lava seems more fantasy-friendly to me. Sure, there are ice dragons and ice demons, but the old-school traditionalist thinks both beasties work best in a hot environment. Superpowerful fantasy beasties involve fire, in my mind. So this is perfect.

3. I really like the lava oozing down the walls. May be my favorite parts.

4. I have to note, this looks like it would also be do-able as a custom job. At least, for the insane/dedicated, painting some florescent orange in the cracks of regular cavern pieces would make for some fun add-ons.

5. FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

Awesome, awesome stuff.

And I should also add....

6. Any points lost from the whole "teaser" approach are more than made up for by the fact that the set is ON SALE NOW! I can see why DF needed the pre-order option in the past, but seeing kewl pics and having to wait for MONTHS for the stuff was getting old. It's really, really exciting and "Christmas morning"-esque to have this sudden surprise of "oh, new DF is on the way to me!" today.

Yay!

It looks like they also now have the Fantasy Floor Set. And it looks like the Advanced Builder set is back in stock as well as the Sci-Fi Starter set.

Glad to see old sets are back in stock.
The new doe ... good work but heuuu a bit disappointed !
I was waiting for traps, new elements (long corridors), secret passages, tiny doors, a magistral entrance well it's a lava set .... already have the 2 Lord made last year (fan make of high quality) & the new one he just made with lava on the straight & corner walls, the secret passage & giant volcano/secret room.

Ah ah ... Well I guess I will have to wait to see more in DOE 5 ? (say one is planed come on !! we already know it !!!!)

I will take one set with another euro customer to reduce fees or I will wait for december ROTA entrance to order one HELLSCAPE set.

I was going to give this teh slightly rare TRIPLE YOU ROCK THE FREE WORLD but instead I am going to give it the QUADRUPLE YOU ROCK THE FREE WORLD. It is available now, the story was awesome, and I have long awaited for lava.

The set looks great but my enthusiasm for a lava set is mediocre at best. It's versatility is low. Especially when my game is stuck in the frozen North of the Wilderlands. Unlikely I'll order the usual 3 sets for the Well Of Sin piece.

A 6" long DOE hallway would get me more jazzed. (Harneloot?)

I like it, but I doubt I'll be ordering three (or any in the short term since I'm buying my first house this month).

I did get an idea for a repaint scheme for the set when looking at the pictures.

You could repaint it to resemble flesh with oozing puss and blood. Now that would be a creepy setting to adventure in. Yuck. I've been thinking of running such a disgusting setting as one of many horror inducing stops along the campaign trail for my gaming group when we get the campaign going again.

That reminds me ...

Stephan, any chance of a brain-like set for Mind Flayers?

I for one am incredibly psyched for this set. It will work perfectly for an adventure I'll be resuming as soon as my game room is done!

Much like all new enviroments, I'm hoping we get at least one more of these sets to round out things. In particular a variant floor tile or two would be nice to break up the pattern that would emerge from a big setup.

Beyond that, the choice of pieces for this set is very strong and the inclusion of being able to buy walls and floors on the side is awesome. The conversion corner is particularly cool, it made me realize how nice this piece would be in the standard cavern set!

Anywho, nice work! You definately made my day!

Could we see what you can do with one set? You could do a lot with 1 regular cavern set. I need to compare to see if it is worth it for my budget.

www.truedungeon.com/email/t31.htm

More photos that show what you can do with one set (plus a Well of Sin). They also show how the conversion piece works.

Enjoy!

Oh...and I love the last pic! It's cool and it shows how those little conversion pieces can be used well.
