Stefan has been visiting some family in Venice (and taking a break from the construction at his house), and so he was gracious enough to invite me out to Italy for about a week. We did a lot of "research" for future sets by visiting Venice, Bologna and Florence. It was a great time and we took lots of photos of many interesting architectural details we found. Unfortunately, Stefan also "researched" many of the local brews of Florence, and he ended up making a new friend that night. See attached photo.

Much thanks to Stefan for an incredibly interesting trip. And just so you know, we did finalize plans on an awesome new product line idea!

Glad you had a relaxing, productive and sounds like all around awesome trip! Great news on the new product line (could it be catacombs???)

Looks like Stefan has a Dire Boar guardian!

Cheers!

Is that a Druidic trance that Stefan is in? You keep strange animal companions. You must have waiting until 6th level to bond with it. :-)

I am glad you guys had fun. We all need fun and what better place than italy. If I ever get a chance to go out there I would love a tour... Hint... Hint...

Well, welcome back gents... It is very cool that you folks had a chance to do a little exploring...of hrrmmm...Various sorts!

And the Calendar is a great idea! Which brings up a totally unrelated thing... How cool would it be to have a calendar for sale that had pictures of DF's contest winning layouts? I know that they are not monthly, but hey, you could fill in the blank months with fan favorite nominations from the photo thread or some such... Would possibly be a hit at cons... Though I'd buy one of the site for sure...

Just thinking...Again... My wife always gets a wary look on her face when I start doing that...*Chuckle*...

Don't TEASE me like that! I WISH.

Jeff, get the camera's going!!! This is what's known in the biz as a PROFIT CENTER.
A calendar will generate interest for DF during those periods when new sets and lines are slim, and keep revenue flowing. Also, a calendar is relatively DIRT CHEAP to produce for the price you can legitimately charge.

A quality, glossy-finish calendar that opens to 11x17 generally sells for around $10 or less, and costs less than $4 to the retailer in lots of 1000, supposedly. If you can get that kind of deal, then you can sell them at that price and I think clear them out without a problem - I know I'D take 3-4 myself, to use 1, keep 1 for souvenir, and give 1-2 as gifts (propaganda!) to gamer friends. AT LEAST.
And I'm just ONE DF Addict who wants to support the Forge.

Any other takers?
