Hello Gang,

Finaly got good new from our factory that the new Realm of the Ancients with the adjusted mosiac tile paint scheme will be do-able! WooHoo!

Even better news, we may also be able to make ONE of the much more complex 4x4 room pieces available during the pre-order period, more news on this from Jeff when he puts together his newsletter...

here is a picture of the new paint Scheme...possibly even better considering it's versability and customizable possibilities...Please let me know what you think...as you can see from this pic, the rest of the paint job will stay intact!

Does this mean that the colorful mosaic floors on display at Gen Con will no longer be featured in the set?

Some of the more complex patterns, the one's in the 4x4 rooms will be available for customers who pre-order...details will be announced at that time.

Not to be too impatient, but has there been an indication as to when the pre-order period will begin? I understand the pieces won't be released until next year, but are we talking about a pre-order period before xmas this year? Or early in the new year? Gotta count those pennies now.

Also, I'm considering doing an order before the price rise and need to have an idea how to budget :)

I am supposed to receive 3 proof sets any time now. Once those are examined (and hopefully approved) we will start the pre-ordering period -- probably around Dec. 1st. I can't wait to make some ancient dungeons and photograph them for us all. And we have some limited edition pieces on hand as well to thank those who pre-order. More info in about a week. Thanks for your patience. It is just hard to promise much until the proof sets arrive.

<Goes and checks to see if UPS man has arrived yet...>

The Advanced Builder Set 2 won't be able to ship until March, but perhaps we can extend the free "limited edition" pieces that come with the RotA until March for orders outside of the USA. We can probably also give you a coupon code that will subtract $30 off of the purchase if you buy the 3 sets. This is the pricing you would get if you ordered during the pre-order time. The bad effect is that you would have to wait until March to see any of the sets. There is also a slight possibility that we could sell out of the sets by March. We would issue a warning via newsletter and Forum post if we hit the "100 sets left" mark.
Not sure when planning Advanced Builder 2 preorders to start, but what would work for me is that these preorders start before RotA preorders end. Sure I would have to wait a bit longer for both to be released before shipping, but that would solve two problems
1) Would minimise postage.
2) I do not think my budget will allow ordering 3 of both new sets. See this would let me see what bonus item I "must have" I can actually get.

I understand that you may have business concerns about two preorders at once, but it looks like they will be very close anyway if your are shipping one set in Feb and the other in March. And having both preorder times overlap would save on any mucking around with special coupons etc.

Great news Jeff!

BTW,

Will there be any information about the composition of the ROTA II set available anytime soon, (or before the ROTA I pre-order is closed)?

I ask as it would be helpful for me in determining requisite quantities of ROTA (while considering the unfamiliar, new removable wall system).

IMHO, the new wall system looks FANTASTIC! I'm just not certain how it will actually work/fit with the other pieces of the new line.

I have no doubts that seeing all of the other ROTA I pieces will give me better idea of how they'll work/fit together, although knowing the intended (or even approximate) composition of ROTA II would be even better, as it would demonstrate the expanded possibilities of the new line as well.

Any possibilities?

Thanks again.
