I could see the "white" if it was closer to the Marble look but I am sure that would be hard to do. Yet white is official close to being grey as well in a round about way, unless it is white white as in white wash. Which I do not think would look that good if it was bright white. If for no other reason it will get dirty and look nasty.

Can't wait! Can't wait!!

Hmm!

Well, you know, I don't think this will happen, but it did occur to me that one other thing that would work would be... GOLD! That could be VERY cool...

I have to admit, you know, if this set comes out HALF as good as it looks like in that sketch.... I may be tempted to get two and repaint one myself even if I LOVE the chosen colors. It just feels like this set would look GREAT in marble... or gold... or sandstone... or even grey!

I mean, there's just so many ways for this to look outstanding. I don't know that I would be content if I only had ONE color to choose from....

Or maybe one day there could be a limited Special Edition in another color.....

I'm all in favor of sandstone, for one very REALISTIC reason.
If you look at ruins in anything other than a jungle setting, they usually take on a sandstone color, eventually. Whether from sun-bleaching, or from other environmental factors (fires, auto exhaust, human and animal traffic) the wear and tear of centuries will, sooner or later, color almost ANY rock or mortar to a dusty, dingy, sand gray, unless it's jungle moldy dark brown.
So there's the choices, and Stefan just said it WON'T be gray. So it's either sandstone or brown - and I'M hoping for sandstone, because it's more flexible (and if I put a dark brown overpaint on it, I can wash that off easier than cleaning a sandstone overpaint off dark brown!) for different locations and civilizations. Middle Eastern/North African, China/Mongol, and of course, with a little sci-fi, I can plant them on ANY OTHER WORLD as well! Toss in DoE and I've got the World of the Ancient Gods and Demons - bwahahahaha!

Jeff and Stephan, THANKS for the confirmation of future color-joy.

My bet is on red-brown, based ONLY on the fact that it would be very Hyperborian, and that the ink color used for the teaser sketch is red-brown.

Can't wait to see it.

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome to the cult.

thenorthman Saga Edition is fun... ;)
So how many Gamma did you buy? you must buy some!

Welcome, chicklewis looking forward to RoA myself, but darn going to have to start saving, for it...

I only purchased one so far. I (at least now until I start getting the Sci-Fi stuff in ) am only lightly going to get Sci-Fi science I do not have a real use for it yet.

Saga Edition? I'll have to look into it.

What I am off hand thinking of using it for is SpaceHulk. I know it wouldn't match up exactly for the hall ways but close.

Personally, I'm hoping for more of a (white) marbled colouration in the ROTA sets.

It will be interesting to see what the final selection is -in any event.
