I'm jealous - I just don't have the money for these things right now.
Although I currently don't own any of the Sci Fi stuff, I am very tempted to buy two of the Gama sets (and snatch up some of the on-sale passage sets). The Gama sets are just way cool.

Don't even get me started on the RotA sets - wow! I need to go back and look because I only had a cursory glance, but OMGoodness!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

62 sets and counting. In addition, a boatload of individual pieces or sets of pieces.

Three more gammas pre-ordered.

And I finally got around to getting some more cavernous lake and river sets.

Now, I just have to patiently wait for Advanced Builder 2 and Ancients.

Sigh...

That is the one thing I want to pick up! More River and Lake sets. I held off this time around with the hope of picking them up and GENCON and save some on shipping.

One set of each of those just isn't enough to make a "true river" or "true lake" for an adventure. At least not the adventures I have in my head.

I am thinking having 5 of the river sets is a good number then not sure of the lake number since I have two of the sets of 10 of the open water. Right now I am looking at a total of 3 Lake sets. We will see.

What do other thing the ideal number for these sets would be.

With this order, I'm going to have four of each.

Add to that: three lake accessory sets, ten free open water pieces and some walls thanks to preordering, a large open water piece order via yansolo, and a substantial collection of the three other cavern sets (basic, passages and chasm) -- and I feel pretty solid on cavernous setups. I don't see purchasing any more unless new pieces are introduced.

Out of curiosity, when does the pre-order special close? And is there still a number of the sci fi expansion left? :)

Kinda skint this month and was hoping to pick up a few of the sci fi expansion

It will end July 15th, and yes there are still a number of SF-005 sets left.

Thanks.

It depends upon both your playing surface and (in my case) how things are stored.

I originally went with six of each. On a 6x9 foot table I could build just about whatever I want. Also, my storage containers at that time had room for six tiles and I could fill them perfectly with no jostling during travel.

I've since added more river and lake sets (in batches of six). 18 lakes, 18 rivers, 24 extra coasts and 60 more open water tiles allows for a large cavernous lake layout.

Wow!

Well do not think I will get that many. Probably the most would be 6 sets but right now thinking 5 sets (which means picking up 4 at GENCON).

Also, I have six of the water expansion sets. They added some interesting tiles.

I'd recommend picking up one or two of them as well.

What you will find is that there isn't really enough straight river pieces to do large layouts and those pieces are in relative shortage (compared to 4-way pieces, for example). Hopefully someday straight river pieces will be available as individual items and you will be able to make some really nice river layouts with a dozen extra pieces.

Oh...btw...Stefan has come up with an awesome idea for the passageways in the RotA line. What until you see that!

We should have some pics for the first set posted in July...and we should have a proof set on display at Gen Con in August.

Will the RotA pics be posted early in July or late July. Sorry, I am just anxious.

I just saw some preliminary photos of the finished sculpts...

Um...wow. Much drool. And these were unpainted sculpts. I know since I work at DF my comments should be taken with a grain of salt...but I got this job because I was a HUGE DF geek. I am telling ya...break my wand and call me Iuz -- this stuff rocks!

Save those stimulus checks everyone. You are going to need them.

It is hoped that Stefan will have some finished painted pieces to show off by the end of July. We should have a complete set on display at Gen Con in our booth. I can't wait to show you the finished photos -- most especially the innovative way he designed the corridors.

I can't wait to get my hands on a few sets!
