The second pic looks like a dry streambed to me - perhaps (if so) it can be used as an extension for a stream/river branch that peters out. I'm still hoping for waterfalls and other elevation changing peices...as well as the inverse corners and other like variations (that I'm pretty sure are comming). Whirlpool is cool BTW - I had to just describe one happening in my latest game - where I could have substituted the clear lake peice for this one and gotten some oohs and ahhs in additiona to the "oh shits" that my description evoked. That second peice could also perhaps be a river peice where it breaks up into smaller streams or such with rocks in the middle...though its not showing any/much water with the "adjusted" pic...

I think that second photo has been hit with the "Oil Painting" feature, and possibly "Sepia-Tone". So it could be all sorts of things.

I think it's stalagmites with flat tops, staggered to allow figures to climb to higher elevations.

I am actually thinking the second picture is, a pre-production piece. Like one of the wax ones that was a sculpted master. So it has no water, no paint etc. I think we have seen ones similar to it in the past.

yes, your right...it's the sculpted wax master, before casting, painting and application of "water"........

That would be very cool! I hope you're right on that one. I (we) could certainly use such a piece!

Stefan,

That whirlpool piece is AMAZING! That will be one very oft used piece.

This set will be one fine complement for entire water line.

BTW,

Any hints on what that surprise set (in prep for the pre Christmas season) is? Could it be the oft-mentioned CWA?

I think the second piece is some form of 'stepping stone' water piece.
(Watch out for that slippy, loose rock!)
