Good idea, Jeff. And if that doesn't work, check the pockets of the coat in the cubicles around you ... or better yet, another floor of the building!

I know you guys just made Stefan's day. He was a little worried about that 6" Long Wall as it is somewhat of a departure for DF. Stefan could just not resist after he read all those Cthullu novels this Fall.

We have no plans to offer any individual pieces at this time. The factory requires that we buy a great deal at once, and we would rather not tie up a lot of our investment cash in them. We would rather keep coming out with new sets for a while.

I am really excited about the Tavern set! It looks so cool

That wall was kind of weird, but I figured that was the point. It can be explained away as a mural, or used as a passage into the unknown, a portal to cosmic gulfs beyond space and time... An interesting piece, but which doesn't come off as too garish or cartoonish, which is a problem I had with those red demon heads in the first DoE expansion set.

Too bad about the individual pieces, but I understand. Dang economics.

The tavern set looks badass. I am excited about all the medieval building interiors you guys are doing. Any thoughts on doing a Star Wars-inspired cantina?

Heh - not knowing Dwarven Forge pieces, the guy I showed the 6" wall to didn't realize it was a flat wall at first.

Good job!

I am really, really, excited about the MBS expansion set - I'll have to persuade 'The Management' that we need to buy at least one set. I don't think it'll be too hard though - she's almost as big a fan of DF as me, and really likes it when we use it in our games.

Medieval Buildings Set, Caverns x2, Cavernous Passages, Room and Passage, Deluxe Room, Octagonal Room, Narrow Passages, Advanced Builder, Wicked Additions I, Wicked Additions II, Traps I, Traps II, lots of individual pieces. I want Cavernous Rivers, and Cavernous Lakes, and Cavernous Ledges. Can you tell that I like caverns?

The MBS was the only DF line I wasn't buying into. I even have Sci-Fi stuff.

Those pictures are really making me want to change my mind about that.

Hmm...I know I'm going to get 3 DoE rooms eventually, but with no pre-order special...maybe I should get a couple of the MBE first...oh, lord, I don't have the money for this.

But these sets look really exceptional even for DF. Congratulations!

OMG!

Amazing stuff! All of it! Simply beautiful, but once more, very functional and well balanced! I'm going to pre-order it all, as well as the DoE WA that I don't have still. I'm drooling for the Tavern Set! Can't wait!

Congratulations Stefan, Jeff, and all the DF Family, and Thank you very much!

I think it would be a nice idea, given the fact that is not possible to produce individual pieces, to have all the accesories (Fire pots, Red book for DoE, and the close windows inserts, the beds (the beds!!), the hatch (the hatch!) and the wooden railings for MBS) produced in some accesories sets for the future. I think it would be a must have. I think I will need lots of them, but I can't afford more complete MBS sets.

Greetings!

That DoE wall is really outrageously cool. I can't believe Stefan was worried about it. I've been somewhat lukewarm about DoE in the past, I've posted a decent amount concerning what I considered to be its drawbacks, but this set is a must-own for me, and it's all about the wall. The eye is great, very Biblical/Masonic. And the starfield is just fantastic. That's really what it's all about for me -- it seals the deal, actually. The DoE is already a very "planar" set, and this sort of backdrop just sort of confirms for everyone that they are somewhere. . . ELSE.

I love the idea of springing those walls on players at a climactic point in the crawl -- they reach the DoE, unsure where they are, but convinced they can find the way out and back to where they were before. And then they reach the room where they see all the stars and realize... they may not be able to get back to There from Here.

And then demons come out and eat their brains.

:D

Well, I got the newsletter this morning and immediately tried to go pre-order two of each . . . and the darned pre-order isn't up yet!!
Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until it is - which might lead to me having more to pre-order WITH!
Hey Jeff, you're a lot smarter businessman than you give yourself credit for! By making me wait to pre-order, you might get a bigger pre from me!
But it itches; I just WANNA PRE-ORDER!!! WHAHHHHHH!

Sound just like a little kid, don't I? Wel-l-l, DF brings out the kid in me. I wanna play!

See ya!

Calithena,

I hear what your saying.

The only two lines I don't presently collect are Sci-Fi and DOE.

Since the newsletter, I'm now considering a limited amount of DOE myself.

Decisions, decisions...

I have been reading some very interesting books about the Freemasons and their links to the ancient egyptians, their secret advanced architecture, etc...who gave them such secret knowledge? Did it come from the stars? or some other place........MMMMMwwwwhhhaaaaaaaa....

The gold floor of the wall mural is also meant to allude to certain ancient civilizations that were fond of human sacrifices.....they also built pyramids...hhhmmmm....
