Now that movie would have been uber cool!

The mind boggles at what pick up lines that movie franchise would have spawned .....

As to the jarring colors, i actually tend to like it and think it fits well with the set.

If this is the headquarters of say some Chutulu cult, or demonic sect, or weird alien invaders what not who is to say that they with a differnet mindset (at the minimum) to enterilly different physiologies or something that make those colors pleasing to the eye (like their is infra red, ultra violet, or they see differentl) that makes that clashing colors very pretty. Also the clashing colors can mean that if ti sets you off, think of what it will do to the players. If you are ill at ease looking at it, it might just be the way to properly get the feeling you want to convey at being in that Den of Evil....

You know what, guys...the more I look at the pictures that were revealed here for this set, the more excited I am about the whole darn thing!! I'm ready to preorder~

From every set of pictures that have EVER been put out by Dwarven Forge for ANY of their products, the pictures have never really come close to doing the items justice in the first place! Not until you get the dungeon pieces actually...physically "in your hands", can you appreciate how demonically awesome this stuff truly is!

Purple, lavender...or whatever color the pedestal base is (or will be), everyone here knows deep down that this set is going to be INCREDIBLE!

Is there really any doubt here, fellas? Can I get a hallelujah?...can I get some more pictures? : )

Hello all,
I would like to respond to some of the comments made about the use of color in the new DOE set: its about time! The other sets are well painted and look as they should like a dark, dank, dungeon. This set should have more color in it. We are used to seeing pictures of ruins, whether they are castles in the English countryside or sand blasted egyptain temples. What we forget is that when these buildings were in use they were richly decorated. No self respecting lich, necromancer or evil genius would have it any other way ... well maybe the lich. My point is that the use of color tells people that THIS section of the dungeon is different ... better hold on to your hats fellows. I have made some custom peices using the Hirst Arts castle molds ( I do perfer the DF product, I have about 16 sets by the way) and in those I try to add some color to my dungeons. I think it adds quite a bit. I for one will be getting a set. Lets get the preorder going so I can do my christmass shopping early.

Excellent points maulhelm. I agree completely. I have toured various ruins around the world and always try to imagine them in their painted (and wood & cloth..ie perishable) augmented glory - this is how they were meant to be - in full color - not as washed out ruins. I'm all for the wild colors! Would love to see some pics of your Hirst pieces and otherwise...

THOTH,

I saw some really good pics up the other day and thought I should send some ... don't have the faintest idea how to do that so I'll do some set ups and get the daughter over with the camera. Its also nice to see people doing some mult-level layouts ... I made little cardboard peices out of heavy tubing to set outside the walls to hold up floor peices or other walls. Throw in some pillars and you can really stack this stuff. The DF line is VERY versitile and with just a little thought you can do all sorts of things. Its lots of fun to make those pesky little PC's run back and forth and jump and fall ... into the trap set hahahahah.

Anyway I'll try to do some this weekend.

great m - looking foreward to it.

I too love the idea of multi level setups - and love the pics of them that folks post here...however I have only built a limited number to date...I need to gather up more support stuff and start putting some of my ideas to the test.
