Gamingreport.com has posted some pics of the Dwarven Forge booth setup at GenCon. You can find them here:

www.gamingreport.com/gallery/v/gencon/GenCon2006/Exhibit/?g2_page=6

Some of you (ahem, Rabidfox) will be pleased to see that the Sci Fi sets have a strong showing, complete with lots of 3rd party props (one of them, however, is a piece of junk!:D) IO has also brought a lot of fantasy accessories, and they add so much to the look of the setups.

I can't wait until tomorrow when I can see it all in person! (Please don't let them sell out of MBS until I get my hands on them!)

Wow -- I had mentioned once that I thought the river set might work above ground (as my various jungle/lizardmen pics have shown) but it REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY works well above ground!

Those trees make the lake look freaking amazing! Like a kind of mountain retreat.

Gorgeous stuff, I'm gonna have to get me some trees. That's fantastic, thanks for the link,

I liked the Dwarven Forge pics; there was some cool set ups.
Now, all we need to do is convinc Jeff that IO's slide show needs to be on the WEB page and convince Doug that he can put it on there.

I would have liked to have seen what the SciFi Master Maze special is; that pic was just such a tease.

I do not think that Master Maze has really any competition from the Flexible Dungeon folks.
You can see, even through these pics, that it is not the same quality level as Master Maze.
With the FD pieces made from lead-free pewter, how many uses do you get out of them before they break?
I am not betting too many; plus, will they be fixable by the gamer or are you looking for a new purchase and/or a blacksmith?

If I get a chance to get online tomorrow night, I'll post the details of the Sci Fi deal.

The doors could be useful...one could easily make the much spoken of double doors! A couple of sections of the wall could be useful for "wall of stone" type spells. But it's an ugly, ugly system.

With 2 of their doors one could easily make the double door that many folks have been requesting. And for fantasy

Let Jeff/Stephan decompress after GenCon and I'm sure we can work something out. I've been thinking that the site needs a better picture gallery instead of just threads in the forum. I've been looking at a few gallery managers -- I'll keep looking.

Sorry I couldn't post this earlier (no free internet in my room...what is the world coming to?)

The deal was: Buy a Beta, get an Alpha for free.

Thanks soooo much for that link YC... enjoyed going threw ALL the photo's of the booths. I saw the flexible dungeon. It reminded me of the magnetic Dungeon Works stuff.... I still have loooots of that stuff in a bottom drawer somewhere. DF is not only another level but another time line...! Still one or two walls and doors would complement I think... " of the flexible stuff ".

Hey, no problem.

One thing that caught my eye was a company called Dagoom. They have modular dungeons that are basically a floor with positionable 1"x2"x1.5" walls. The walls were interesting in that they were freestanding, looked like hewn stone, and cheap (65 cents per piece, unpainted). I meant to pick some up, but because of a fussy baby had to cut my exhibit hall time short and completely forgot about them. Perhaps next year.
