Gppd amswer and holy cow. :)

In any case, I am glad DF is doing what they set out to do, making their 10th anniversary a blast. Thanks!

62 sets and counting. In addition, a boatload of individual pieces or sets of pieces.

Lets see.. since January I have gotten:

From DF:
1 Room & Passage
1 Cavern
1 Traps 2 *went for the deal and got it for free)
1 Fantasy Floor
3 Cavernous River
3 Cavernous Lake
1 Den of Evil
2 Sci-Fi Alpha
2 Sci-Fi Beta
2 Sci-Fi Starter
2 Sci-Fi Passages

From Ebay:
1 Narrow Passage
1 Short Passage

So that's... 21 sets so far? Count in another 2 or 3 for the mystery set plus I have NO cavernous passages so that's another 2 sets.

I can afford it as I have a really good job along with the wife. I'm up for a promotion and am a first year doctoral student (I have my MBA and various professional certs). Sometimes the wife rolls her eyes about why I need "another DF set" and I say why do we need $600 curtains when sheets tacked up to the window work fine too. Women... they say its not the same thing... :P

ANyway we judiciously use the credit cards- for anything. We never carry over $5k on them so we can pay them off in 3 months if required. Credit cards are evil- dont destroy your credit rating over some painted resin or anything else for that matter. Ok- preaching over.

Discover Card totally ratted me out to my wife! They called about the transaction because they thought it was suspicious activity.

Good thing she knew about it ahead of time. If I wasn't such an honest guy with an understnding spouse, I could have really be in trouble. :)

YC -

Credit Card companies have started doing the 'rat out' since 9/11, because the FBI, etc., believe that a lot of terrorist activity is being financed on plastic.
SOME people will use the most vile actions of a few fanatics to justify playing Big Brother on the many.
Page George Orwell; little brother Georgie wants to play.
And to think, I'm a registered Republican. makes me ashamed to admit it, sometimes.

Oh well, at least, this way, no one will be able to pull a CC theft on you and get away with it for long. I hope.
Hey, wait a minute: HOW many did you order, and did you leave any for me? I can't put my order in until tonight or tomorrow!

See ya!

Well, without derailing the thread into a political discussion that might land us both in Gitmo, I know exactly where you're coming from.

And I'm not complaining about the call, really. It's just funny that this would happen with one of my more expensive gaming purchases.

How many did I order? How many did Dwarven Forge make for this first shipment? I ordered that many plus one. :)

Well I had to pace myself. So I am showing support to DF in the form of 1 Lake set (after preordering 2 River sets). Otherwise, I won't be able to support the later sets. However, if a tavern/interiors set is coming... anyone want to rent a Guest Bedroom in Columbus Ohio... ;)

Sorry, Will; not close enough to Dayton, and Wright-Pat (the USAF Museum). Sandy & I are stopping there on the way home after GenCon, for some well-needed photography. Since I model US/USSR Cold War aircraft, I need to take LOTS of PICTURES for paint schemes, etc.
So, if you DID live in Dayton, I just might take you up on that room for a day or two.
Aren't you GLAD you live in Columbus? After all, Sandy could tell you, when I snore, I SNORE!!!!

See ya!

Jim

PS: I knew you were mostly kidding, and so was I - except for the snoring.

Well it was worth a try. My kids would have probably thought the snoring was funny though. Have a safe drive in August.

NOTE: This new set is currently in pre-orders only, but there will be a limited number of sets in stock around August 1st. You may go ahead and PRE-ORDER your set(s) to insure that you will receive our sets when they arrive. You will be charged at this time, and any other items in your order will be held until this item is in stock -- so that they can all be shipped together. We appreciate your willingness to pre-order as it allows us to keep more sets in stock -- and have shorter "out of stock" times. Thanks!
Just making sure, sorry if the question seems obvious. Does this mean that concerning the Lake Set, if we pre-order some, we would be charged on August 1st or later, i.e. when they ship?

Traditionally, I've been charged at the date of the pre-order. I like to think of it as an interest-free loan to DF to keep them afloat so I can keep having a place to safely store my disposable income. 8-)
