Woah, looks like lot of people anticipating the set! 18 registered and 45 unregistered customers on the website right now!
Yeah when i hit the boards after lunch it was the most i had ever seen on here as well, i think it was something like 6-7 Registered users (including Stefan i think) and like 10 Guests.

Got my order for one set in and was pleased to discover a ton of good individual items are back in stock. I picked up quite a few of those too. Thanks for keeping the oldies but goodies coming back. Individual items really help me round out my collection and build what I want with it.

FX@#%CK1'N6 AMAZING!!!!!!!! you cannot imagine so much bad language and swear words we have in Spain... XDDD I think I expressed my joy with almost all... but, making a cite of my old friend Black Mage... Sweet zombie Jeebus on a pogo stick!!!!!!!! This is madness!!!!! Man, yesterday night (20:30 pm here in Spain) I arrived home tired from work, after all day entering the website from my office desperately when every time I saw the message that said that the shop wasn't working... and five minutes later when I get my email I was all jumping across my room... XDDDD incredible!!! awesome!!! amazing!!! terrible!!!

Well you can swear if I was not already in debt with the bank to get my house (in which I plan to play with all this years collection sets teheee in about 2 months from now), I would had taken at least 2 sets. And If I had a single friend who bought DF, I would take 3, for sure. But this means I can only afford 1... well!!! I think the set (it has less river pieces I would like) but with the remobable walls, with 2 more cavernous floor pieces I've taken, gives me a lot of new posibilities!!!

Very very VEEEWY WELL DONE GUYS!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! THE BEST SET EVER!!! (I know I said that in all the other when they were released XDDD.. but that's good isn't it?)

Well, five minutes later I have my order placed and paid XDDDDD yahooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! now the sorrow of waiting... bwahahahaha!!!! I think I'm going crazy until it arrives...

Greetings!!!

Got the newsletter too. looking fantastic, indeed. So i went to the site to preorder a set or two. BUT...

1 Set for 139.- AND Shipping 97.05.- = 236.05.-

So, hey, what's up? After seeing this, my money-pouch decided NOT to order 2 sets...

Why is dwarven forge for german customers SO expensive (especially shipping cost)?

The bad thing is: there a no more shops (online or in the streets) i know of, where you can get DF-stuff, so I HAVE to order from this site...

Sorry for the rant, but I'm rather frustrated...

Beastman;

The reason why it's so expensive?

Ask the European Union, or the Parliament, or your version of Customs and Internal Revenue.
THEY are the ones who are taxing Gamers out of the hobby!!
Ask OPEC; they are the ones price-gouging Gamers out of the hobby!! (And shippers out of business)
But enough politics and polemics;

In other news, I got my Newsletter, and also finished up the tax return. Which means I'll be ordering 3 in a few weeks, when the IRS shells out! HUZZAH! And, it also means that I'll be able to save back enough to attend GenCon Indy, as I had planned (I had a few doubts there for a while, what with the gas situation).

Stefan, just FRAKKIN' INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

!@#$%^_)(*& OOPS!

Short-circuit in the keyboard; gotta watch that drool. :D :D :D

See ya!

I think you'll find that the shipping quote does not include the import taxes which we'll have to pay. Looks like one set will cost us close to $300 in total.

I've paid as shipping costs as Beastman (I've orderer several individual pieces and miniatures too)... it's the cross we non-american bear for all things... (sigh) but without an european distributor... DF guys can't do very much they have already done. I really thank them for the effort to reach this situation. We can pre-order, we can take advantage of offers that before where impossible, we can get the new sets as soon as they are released. Distribution business here are very difficult for this product, and yeah jkratzer is right. Are our governments (at least in spain) who taxes us, making business imposible. Add that DF stuff are really heavy (and resistant! I like that thing, I'm not complaining) and you've got the math. No way. You can bet that If I had money to invest, I'd try to bring this product to Spain...

The solution would be suface mail, as i mentioned above.

It takes longer fpr delivery (4-12 Weeks longer), but
is less expensive.

I ordered something in ebay and was shocked having to pay
45$ delivery charge. I asked to get suface mail and
had only 22$ to pay. Ok, the package took 4 weeks longer,
but i don't mind that for saving me 23 bucks.

Sorry...after a lot of bad experiences we can only ship USPS Global Express. I know it is expensive, but it offers the only reliable tracking system, and that is very important for us. Our shipper will only ship this method now.

I wish it was otherwise...as we would sell a lot more product if we could. We make no profit on the shipping!

Stefan,

Thanks for making those last-minute changes to the R&W set. The innovation of the removable walls was, once-again sheer genius. The design, appearance and craftsmanship of this set is second to none! In short, this set is beyond my wildest expectations. I cannot wait until you unveil your surprise set in the summer, along with the CL set.

Jeff, Lori

I would like to say thank you for all of the ordering improvements/automation that have been implemented for your international customers. That along with all of those new, re-stocked sets and individual pieces coming in has just allowed me to place an order so large, it HAD to be divided into two separate orders, (I guess the shipping calculator had a weight limit). It cost a bundle but I was in a position to do it. That being said it was still worth every "penny" of it!

I was originally making this point to illustrate that your efforts in implementing DFs new automated international online ordering setup was reaping rewards. After reflecting upon how truly awesome this CR&W set is, (and DF stuff in general) I'm forced to accept the fact that I am most likely the main benefactor in this case.

Keep up the great work.
