I thought it best to leave all the details of this situation unspoken, but after speaking with my wife I have decided to make this post.

Paul Krynski, a Dwarven Forge collector, has died from complications due to a brain tumor at the age of 26. Information about memorials to Paul may be found at www.paulsbattle.org/index.htm

We had two proof sets of the Den of Evil arrive some 6 weeks before the other sets. One was auctioned off for the Red Cross to help with hurricane relief, and the other was sent directly to Paul as soon as possible. He was able to enjoy the set before his rapidly declining health failed him. I am glad that we could be a small part of a good day for him.

Everyone at Dwarven Forge wishes his wife and family the very best.

For Paul, it's as Shatner quoted from Tale of Two Cities (and I'm probably mis-quoting here); "'Tis to a far, far better place you go."
To Paul's wife and family, remember, He's in a lot better place (except that he now has to listen to my father-in-law grumble about the cooking!). He doesn't hurt, he can do whatever he wants with no problems, and he can watch over you and put in a good word with the "management", if you know what I mean.
We'll miss him, even those of us who never met him.
But we should all honor him and his memory, as well.

Jeff,

I'm quite speechless. I was just sitting at work, thinking about Paul and searching the net, when I came across this post and replies. Thank you so much. Paul loved everything about dwarvenforge, and even at the end when he had trouble communicating, he made sure that I log in into your website to look at the set. I was so overwhelmed when you offered to send it to him. I wish you could have seen him, when it arrived. He had the biggest smile on his face. You totally made his day. Thank you :) At that time such little things - but huge gestures meant so much to him..........
Again, thank you for all that you have done

-Ewa Krynski (Paul's wife)

I'm quite speechless now myself.

Thank you for this kind note...and for giving us a glimpse into a very private time. My wife and I wish you the very best.
