Current purveyors of bits for mini customization? 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Does anyone know of or have any experience with companies that offer bits that can be used to add to 25-28mm minis? A corollary to that would be any companies that offer a decent miscast grab bag or similar? I'd like to find some economical sources for customization and crafting "franken-minis".

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

At the Reaper site, check out the Boneyard. Any mini that needs assembly from multiple parts, they sell the parts separately in that section.

Bio: I do indeed have a dremel and several other good cutting implements. I just figured I would ask about others' sources since I recently discovered a miscast bin that offered up a plethora of bits for very cheap. It was a pleasant surprise that I could get enough to make two minis and to customize several more for only two bucks! The links will definitely be of use, thank you!

Jack: Thanks for mentioning that, I had not noticed that section last time I was on their site I didn't see that. That section has some of the same kind of bits I saw in the bin.

Galahad: They have a nice collection of things up there, both whole and bits.

Thank you all for the input!

My next tool purchase will be a pin vise so I can more easily do some pinning. I have had very good luck with E-6000 adhesive, the bond is very strong with just enough flex to reduce strain and risk of breakage.

just be careful with the fumes from the e6000, that's some of the worst stuff to work with.

Thanks Bob!

Nielsene, I hear ya. I make sure to avoid doing much at once and I work in a large well ventilated space. I'm actually getting parts to make my own ventilated spray hood, which could probably work well as a work space for anything with fumes as well. I just haven't found any adhesive I like as well, any particular ones that you favor?
