What's your character's name? Wasn't reading when I logged on.......

Character: Bernardo Guis... (Now that IS creepy)...
Clan: Stray Dogs (STRAY)
Server: 6

Quick note here for those that may be interested...

This is a text-based browser game created by a company out of Germany and I do not think that the game has been updated since like 2005. Which means there really is no game support beyond the forums. The moderators are apparently NOT connected in any way with the actual company which means that they pretty much do their own thing.

The game is called Bite-Fight, and it is very brutal. Noobs are not protected in any way and will be constantly harrassed with absolutely no recourse by characters of all levels. The pay-to-play features do not usually work correctly from what I can tell, and in addition to the lack of customer support the game design is terrible, game-play is ridiculously unbalanced, and will likely cause more frustration then fun...

I say all of this as a warning, and from experience... For all it's faults it is still really addicting though, and the built in time limit keeps you from playing more than a couple hours a day at the most.

I do NOT reccomend this game in any way... But I do play it, and if you end up over there come join our clan of underpowered rejects... Streay Dogs... It will cost nothing but your sanity...

Well, I'll attest to the addictiveness of the blasted game :)

Logged on Friday and have been on and off most of the time over the weekend.

Not that there is any real victimization as I can see. Really depends on how you play. Whether you want to hunting foes.....vamps in my case, given I'm also a were, or whether you want to go on quests. Started the game hunting vamps, but kinda gets boring, and the higher level you get, ther harder the foes. One time, all I came across were 8th to 9th level vamps....with me a poor 3rd level.

Doesn't help that I'm stingy and refuse to shell out real life money to buy the funky magical stuff from the merchant :)

BTW is there any advantage to shelling money out on your hideout? There appears to be no real instructions anywhere.

If you have not been targeted yet you will be... Once the Vamps get your scent you will have trouble saving any cash to buy new gear with...

Which is why I suggest the following strategy:

Work in the graveyard often... Time it so that you are starting right before you go to bed, and ending more or less when you wake up.

Spend your Gold immediately on (and in this order)

- Stats
THis is the only chance you will have to build up your character early in the game. If you try to save mony for gear you will start losing it all before you can spend it.

- Hideout
Apparently your Domecile & Walls add to your Defense in combat, but I have not really seen how. Build these up a bit early in the game, but you will see that they quickly become prohibitively expensive. The path and Atmosphere are unclearly defined as to benefits...

- Equipment
While important, you will quickly find that the stuff gets very expensive and hard to save for pretty quickly..

Once you have spent your gold, do quests, raid, or fight in the Grotto (you'll do that in quests anyway so wait until you have a quest to kill demons)...

Once you run out of time, or as you get enough gold to purchase Stats, Hideout, or Equipment upgrades, Spend it... If you save it you lose it once attacked.

As far as the pay-to-play stuff... I tried to purchase some of their Hellstones, everything seemed to go okay, but then the last page would not load... I tried contacting Customer Service but was never contacted back, and the question I posed about it in the forums was closed by a Moderator before it could be answered properly. I am waiting for my next CC statement to see if there were any charges incurred. Regardless, I never got my Hellstones.

I do notice a lot of people with premium gear though, so it must work for some folks, and, it is definately a huge advantage...
