Yes your work is great! Um, I hate to open a "can of worms" but I have to ask....do you do any fantasy art painting? I would LOVE to see any work you have that includes dragons, elves, wizards, epic battles, etc!

No worms, no worries...I am afraid though that I am not much of an illustrator...that is, to illustrate such things takes a rather different road, different techniques, and years of research, collecting, photography skill, etc...I choose rather to observe from Life and capture those observations, feelings channeled through me and see what happens...it's a sort of spiritual exercise...illustration I guess may need to be more deliberate and calculated...I am a fan of many fantasy artists, but it's just not my road I guess...I was trained from the beginning as a traditional old school artist in the tracks of Caravaggio, Velasquez, the old masters...

but who knows, maybe one day I will find the time to dabble in it in some limited way that could suit my limited knowledge...

Stefan - Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I especially like the figure in charcoal. When it comes to movies, books, and games, fantasy is the hands down preference for me. However, in regards to what I like to see hanging around my house, your art is right up my alley :) Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pencil work, Stefan. It would be lovely to have a book of your work, the fantasy maps and DnD stuff as well as your more contemporary pieces. Perhaps you could set it up on LuLu as print on demand......(hint, hint).

I'd buy a book of your D&D inspired art work, drawings, maps, DF blueprints, etc.

Thank you so much everybody:)
My mother wants me to draw and paint more...but I tell her that we should strive If we can to live a balanced life...I don't want to just churn out artwork...it's more happy for me If I do when the moment is right, when I feel a need to do it, could be someone I see, a certain place, a certain object, a peaceful time....perhaps I take it for granted...i must work to change that perhaps...but i am happy nevertheless...for the last 17 years Dwarven Forge has been my inspiration, and not in small part because of all the wonderful creative folks whom i get to share all this with, there is a constant give and take that you don't get with fine Art...I find fine Art to be a rather lonely experience, working in the studio alone, creating something, and then selling it off, never to be seen again, it's destiny unknown...rather sad in a way...lol....but then again, having an Art show is a wonderful experience...so...not sure what I am trying to say, perhaps that I enjoy and would like to have both creative avenues in my life? I do feel like Art and RPG's are similar in many ways...
