You posted about your relationship on an open forum.
By so doing you provided the opportunity, if not outright asked for comment.

The whole original posting was an attempt at humor. I can't believe that your approach to A FORUM ABOUT GAMES is to attempt to lecture people about how, from a script of comedy, you think they should change their lives. It sounds to me like you need first to get one.

My girlfriend and I actually talked about the terrain after you posted because I just wanted to be one hundred percent sure that there was not a problem. Her only concern, as I stated before, and which she articulated was where the stuff is going to go in this little closet we are tempororarily in.

Why publically criticise your girlfriend here about her shoes Zug?

It was a joke...

I make fun of the shoe thing all the time. It's funny. She really does have so many shoes that they have their own closets. It is never going to change and I would never be able to, or want to change her.

How you just ran with that is a perfect example of your sophistry.

I never had the hubris

I don't think I could articulate or provide a better example of what hubris is than your own false-pride and narcissism. I wouldn't be suprised if people actually linked to these threads as this whole interchange is so sad as to become comic. (For that part, dear audience, I do apologize for responding but, my god read, the sheer nonsense this person posts...)

You are sadly wrong to characterize my wife this way.

I have more sympathy for your wife than you might imagine, please tell her, "I am sorry."

My whole point was that her post that she supposedly wrote was so dissimilar from what I can imagine a woman, or someone's wife actually posting, that I never believed it to be genuine. In fact you have been so duplicitous in your variegated personalities and alter egos that this isn't even a point that needs to continue to be made.

What was frightening in your attempt to portray a posting as her, was the image you conveyed, and the way in which you see yourself that this attempt revealed. This was very telling and downright scary.

I do not think I have ever met any woman with a stronger will and intellect and believe you me, I have met and dated a good many women in my time.

I acknowledge that your wife must have a very strong will indeed, it would be a prerequisite to resist the, shall we say, nature of your personality. I can imagine that the dating process was quite exhausting for you. Good for you to keep tryin', the law of averages had to work in the end.

Honestly, I do feel that a few of the signatures are simple bragging

Nothing from your posts, your peculiar manner of sophistry, your various "personalities" strikes me as honest.

However, I don't have a problem with people posting how much of the product they have. In fact its downright useful in determining the context of their comments, the games they play, and what stock of DF is being used in the games they post about. In fact I think more people should do it.

That being said I've never seen anything of a braggart that could possibly compare to you.

Why you would first indict others of this, and then proceed to enumerate your collection of GW product baffles me. This only serves to reenforce the image I have of you of someone so insecure in their person so as to need to externalize their relevance. Your hypocrisy is so glaring that if you had any credibility left it has been extinuished.

Where did the line item list of your GW horde come from? What was your motive in detailing this collection, if not to be a simple braggart? This was a thread about SW minis and DF terrain. Mind you, I don't care that you did, its not my hang-up to get bent out of shape because someone has purchased or acquired things that they love, so post away. Yet, why not under a thread called "My List of Blood Bowl stuff"? Just to reiterate so that you understand you have no longer have any credibility after posting that list. I trust that never again will you post a rude criticism of someone's collection and motive as you have done in the past.

Do I spend enough on gaming to suit you now and to actually prove to you that I am a REAL gamer?
You have been insinuating now for over a month that I am not one.
Can we now shut down that particular complaint of yours Zug?
I hope so.

This is a perfect example of your duplicity and sophistry.

I don't know where you get this from, where this came, from, or where the heck you are going with this, but certainly this did not from me. The whole sillyness of the serious gamer business was always yours.

Whatever issues you may have, or have with other people, please don't project them onto me.

In fact that might be a good ground rule for you. Instead of getting all bent out of shape and scaring the bejeezus out of some kid, and a Dwarven Forge customer, who asks a question that you know was answered in a different thread on the third page of some archived and forgotten discussion about Dragons, and having this upset you because you've taken the time to cross-index everything and keep a well managed and up to date list of Bookmarks, try not to post your usual contentious and abrasive reply and just answer the kids frickin' question and welcome him to the Dwarven Forge community...

He'll figure out what color of fox you are on his own, but at least he won't be scared off from the DF site before he can find out the answer to his question and complete his purchase. If for no other reason than out of recognition that this site and this forum is here to foster community and provide information about DF product:

Think about whether your posts (before you submit them) and your language, your incessant need to be on your condescending and self-important soapbox, are these things really relevant to this community and/or germane to the subject at hand? Or rather are they serving some secondary purpose, they are the investment necessary for you to maintain your twisted self-image as prophet of truth. The stats in my sourcebook say a category one soapbox won't very much weight, and as swollen as that head as become, I'd be careful...

BB, that is quite germane since one can play Dungeon Bowl quite happily within DF Fantasy MM; have done so on several occasions...Any other wargaming minis are all germane because of the wide variety of uses that the three existing genres of DF MM can be used for...No problem here that I truly see other than the subject YOU introduced.

Playing DungeonBowl on Dwarven Forge terrain would be a blast. I might just pick up some pieces to cobble together a pitch.

How you can twist "Big Blood Bowl guy" as part of my attempt at humor into your ridiculous list of Blood Bowl minis is absolutely beyond me. This again is sophistry and duplicity at its finest. It just astounds me that you are lurking on the sidelines, ever ready to interject with your twisted, "me, me, me, me, me, me..." rants and commentary.

Halflings, Goblins and even Snotlings were available though not always in a box. These minis were typically ordered in blisters or a la carte. Norse were a box team under even 3rd Ed. which was always strange because they were not official. Go figure.

Now who is the alleged expert making nasty comments.

You are absolutely right, I just can't help it. I don't know why but you are such an insufferable ass that I rise to the occasion. I honestly need to to beg the question why I waste my time and energy...I believe that everyone has been able to see you for what you were long before I felt the need to point it out...

Keep it up and you might be the one to lose an incarnation or may be even worse this time.

Your various veiled and direct threats as spoken via your costumes and personalities are actually pretty scary. No foolin'. I actually believe that you take yourself that seriously and that you are so completely unhinged that these do concern me. I've actually gotten PMs from other users warning me that it isn't worth it and that you are scaring them. Like I said before about you...I just can't help it.

I don't take my sense of self identity from my postings on some web forum, and quite honestly I think the whole community would be better off, by far, if you were completely removed forever. If that required my absence as well, done deal...

advice (BTW, correct spelling)

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, thanks for the spelling lesson.

Have any of you combined Star Wars Minis Maps with Dwarven Forge Sci Fi tiles? I saw one photo with the chasm. That was cool. Are there any others?

That was L who did that, yeah it was cool.

so far no i haven't tried that, lord knows i have enough extra tiles etc so i might through a few into the mix, but something about it seems kind of... eh off.

I think if i'm going to go to the trouble of setting up the Dwarven forge in he first plave for the RPG, adding in the 2D tiles, seems kind of "lame".
but i know i alot of people who have added 2D elements to 3d and had it look good.
there are people who have been making the 2D D&D tiles into 3D with card stock that looked good, and putting Dunjnni maps underneath terrain that looked pretty good too.

While L's looked really good, (his and the others) and kind of changed my mind on it, But something about the shear 2D just doesn't work for me, it is changeing, but i don't know what it is, i think i like a consistancey in things, if it is 3D i want 3D, if it is 2D i want 2D...

But L's Bridge worked really well, becuase it was one of the only ways to express the Deep chasam, things like that yeah i like, and would do now, so i may look through the tiles and get ones that represent things i can't do with Dwarven forge as it is (like craters, the deep chasam, and the like).

And maybe a few more... this now has me thinking...

Yeah, that's how I feel about it. For basic walls and floors, I like consistency -- I wouldn't want to have a 2-D control room in the middle of a DF setup.

But for things that couldn't be done in 3D without a LOT of time and money -- like a 10,000 foot chasm -- well, those are fine for 2D. (also on the list -- starfields seen through viewports....)

L
and on the subject of chasms -- d'you think Palpatine regretted his chasm-fetish as he plummeted to his demise? really SHOULD have covered those things, shouldn't you, you smug !@#$!@!@%.......

There is actually a REALLY Funny bit in one of the Dark Horse Comics about that bit (by Steve Rubio who did troops if anyone knows that that is).
(this is paraphrased)

where Tarkin, Motti, Palpy, Vader and some others are sitting around dicsussing the Death Star designs , and Palpatine goes, "What about all of these bottomless pits? can't we do something about this? I think this is a serious Design flaw."

One of the designers replies, "well if we put up saftey railing everywere we are looking at a bugedt increrase of about (does some quick math) 200%"

Plapy gets mad at the money, says "Fine, just mental note, Vader when ever i'm on board, you or some one has to be around to cover my butt, don't want to trip and go falling into one, and speaking of design flaws, what up with this exhaust port thingy? Can't we have a way to fix that, if i had a creidt for everytime some yahoo flies into one of my ships and blows it up with a lucky shot... ((looks at vader), who is looking away all innocent))"

Tarkin replies " Sir the Trench is covered by Turbo laser cannons, is x m long, and has a target that is only 3 meters in size, and is ray shieled, no one could make it down the trench in the first place to attempt the shot, let alone hit it with a missle"

Vader goes, " I could"

Motti Spits out his coffe and chuckles, and starts choking in what you think is a response to vaders claim, and then vader getting back at him.

Everyone glares at vader thinking he is choking Motti

vader goes "What, It's not me"

Motti replies "sorry wrong pipe"

Tarkin looks at Vader, "Well as long as your on ourside we're all set aren't we?"

eh it was funny you had to read it.

I have these old Games Workshop tiles, they came in a hard bound book format. One of them is a lava room with stepping stones. That would look pretty cool set in a Master Maze room and cut so that it matched the floor.

Anyone tried something like this? I have seen the cool pools and such from Tom.

It also came with a buch of card stock assesories. I used a pit once in a a Dwarven Forge hallway and it looked great!

Zug, you are just a totally unbelievable.
I hope you are happy with the delusions you create that you are so caught up in.
You are completely unconnected to reality.
You are a total waste of my time and are purely a bad taste.

There was nothing wrong with your hijack DDM.
You tried to bring the thread back to DF MM.
Unfortunately, I thought Zug was connected and could not possibly think such crassness as humorous.
I was wrong so I am leaving the mess all to him.
I should have learned in my first incarnation and from reading how he treated DLH and others that he was beyond redemption.
DDM, I just have this optimistic belief that all people can be reached; I was wrong with Zug though.
That is my optimistic fault.
Sorry to all of you concerned persons for the attempt.
There will be no more of that.
I have MUCH better things to do with my time.

Have you tried using the tiles from Warhammer Quest and Space Hulk?
They might help you in your builds.

OK you two, back to your respective corners. And Zug, back off. We really don't want any more bashing on these boards. Actually, this was RabidFox's attempt at being nice. If you don't like his advice, don't listen to it. If he wished to share his personal experiences, that is what a forum is for. If you think he his bragging, don't read it. I don't want and most of this forum doesn't want another repeat of last month. Please cease and desist before we get another round of why we need a CoC.
