Mammoth Cave can be a pretty affordable vacation, especially if you like to camp. There are a number of caverns that can be visited starting in southern Indiana and running down into Kentucky. They have very interesting calcite formations in some. There are also several with underground water ways in them. One that I visited had extremely pale white sightless fish in it that you could actually feed while riding in a glass bottom boat. They advised to avoid placing our hands in or near the water asserting that the fish had teeth and that while no one would loose a finger, the experience would be memorable and possibly a bit bloody.

Cave tours and spelunking make for awesome vacations in my book. Add in some camping and hiking and it gets even more awesome!

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...
