Army Painter Products 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
None of my FLGS carry Army Painter products; I have their matte black primer I bought off of Amazon for almost $20 as I couldn't find it cheaper online. Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative? The AP online store wasn't much better.

I'm mostly interested in their Quickshade which I've heard good things about. What are people's experiences with it for painting minis?

Quickshade works fine but leaves a glossy finish, you will also need their matte varnish to go over it. One thing I have found, brushing on the dip is better than dipping it. You can control it better and not waste so much product. Use a second dry brush for absorbing the excess product from the mini. Another thing, you can get pretty much identical results with a can of minwax polyshade varnish. Its a bigger can and costs a lot less too.

Army Painter also makes washes that correspond to the colors of the Quickshade dips. They are well worth buying, excellent product.
