Small potions. 7 Months, 1 Week ago
I have seen where people make small potions for the DF and HA, (like they put on the book shelf made from HA). Does anyone know what size beads these are and where to get them. All I seem to be able to find are bead that are to big for this.

Since I haven't actually made any myself all I can say is that all the stuff I've seen with beads have been made using beads I've seen at the craft store in the jewelry section... for me where I live that'd be Michaels.

Give it a check if you have a local craft store or somewhere that sells a lot of beads and jewelry supplies for making the stuff... you get used to the stares. ;-)

I have been to both Hobby Lobby and Michaels and the beads I am seeing still seam a little to big. I got some potion bottles off of E-bay and would like to get the beads to make my own now. Just can't seem to find them that small in the same variety as the ones I got off of E-bay.

hmmm... could be they don't carry them that small, locally. For hard-to-find specific items I usually use ebay or etsy.

You can also get some really nice miniature bottles here:

I've got some of those from eBay as well. It books like the bottles are made from bracelet beeds. The caps appear to be the same beads used in native american beading. My ol lady is native, I'll ask her where she gets her stuff tonight when I get home

My wife does some beading. I believe you may want to look into what are called "seed beads". They are not actually seeds, as the name led me to expect, but are simply especially tiny beads. These are likely part of the materials used to make the bottles.

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...
