so let us spare everyone from what is not directly related to gaming.

Well... How about approximately 20,000 pictures taken over a period of 15 years depicting live action roleplaying.

You could consider that as a collection related to gaming... ;)

I remember now; you are the LARP enthusiast among us. I could never figure out which person you were in the photos you linked here that one time. Maybe you could just link us to a solo pic of yourself and your sweet thing where we all could figure out which one you were on your WEB page.

I think the photos would be cool in an on-line photo album if you could set one up and then we could all link in and look around. CAPTIONS IN ENGLISH would be critical for us English-readers, who have little-to-no Germanic language training, let alone Swedish.

Rabid Fox,

It is A Legit Question from WillyPold, since an Expense such as Film and Developing related to Gaming is unclear, as would be the Hundreds and Hundreds of Dollars Spent on Paints, Brushes, Magnifying Glasses... Etc...Etc... That I have invested over the Years...

I have my List of DF Posted in another Thread somewhere, Since I only Keep about half of it in the Original Boxes at this point, it is Hard to say exactly How Much DF, But I would Hazard a Figure Close to 2K...

The Recent WotC Minis (Both D&D as well as SW), reflect a Considerable Expenditure, Which might Come Close to the 2K Mark...

I Have Several of the Original AD&D Books, Including Two Copies of the First Version of the Deities & Demigods, (With the Chtulu, and Melnebonion(SP)? Stuff in them)... A Couple of PH, Fiend Folio, DMG, Oriental Adventures, Unearthed Arcana And of Course an Original MM..., As well as a Few of the 3.0, and Now a Few 3.5 as well...

I Also have a Box Full of Moduals for Everything from The Blue Box D&D "Expert" Stuff, to AD&D, to Star Frontiers Etc, So it is not All D&D by any Means... (Bunch of DC heroes, Star Fleet Battles, FASA Trek, TMNT, and possibly others as well)...

I Have a Box Full of Old Dragon, Dungeon And White Dwarf Mags...

And a Bunch of Miscellaneous Models, Toys and Odds and Ends that Have Been Cobbled together into "Other" Projects... Not to Mention Terrain From Cardboard WH40K, to MBA, to Miscellaneous Typical Skirmish Pieces that still get utilized for RPGing, To Model Railroad Buildings in the Dozens, Add to this Several Hundred Metal and Plastic Miniatures Purchased over the Years, for un Known Totals...

And then You Get into the Trully Difficult to Define Hobbies that are Still Sort of In the Same Catagory Such as Boxed Board Games, and Card Games, of Which I Have a Healthy Collection... And in the Case of the Board Games, some of them were Purchased Specifically for the use of miniatures or other Accessories in RPG's... So as you Can see since I have Been Collecting for the Better Part of Two and a Half Decades, (Lost a lot of the Stuff I owned prior to 1980, and Much of what I owned over the Next few years as well), And have hardly kept running Totals, it is hard to Break it down, especially where Miniatures are Concerned, since most of the Packaging for Such is Long Gone...

It really is a lot of CA$H over the Years, but I Would Not Automatically put it over the 20K mark...

I did not mean to suggest that his pics were illegit. I was thinking about space here, the fact that he already has pics posted elsewhere and that it should not be hard for him on his WEB page to make a virtual pic album. I am sorry if you think I was coming down on him; I had no intention of doing so.

I have my List of DF Posted in another Thread somewhere, Since I only Keep about half of it in the Original Boxes at this point, it is Hard to say exactly How Much DF, But I would Hazard a Figure Close to 2K...

So we move from 'G' to 'K', eh? Can we make it any harder for the non-Americans here MLV? HAhaHAhaHA! Remember 'k' for those from outside the States means distance, not money, except maybe those who shop with Kroners.

MLV, did you not keep the boxes anyway? I guess because I am never posted longer than four years in any one spot, I never get rid of my boxes. My eldest son in five years has attended three schools because of my transfers.

That is a much better list than what your single comment earlier.
Thank you.
It all sounds well over the 20G mark.

RabidFox:

As you probably noticed already I have linked to an image of myself as that stranger you always find in the darkest corner of the inn...

About the "15 MM-compatible Hirst Arts-pieces": 15 pieces of homebuilt M(aster) M(aze) sections using the HA moulds... Sorry. Should have used the DF-abbreviation instead...

The speedfreak army originated as an aborted Space Ork Epic army, where I developed a rusty colour scheme using Rust-All, long before GorkaMorka gave a new meaning to the oxidization process... When GorkaMorka appeared I just knew it was meant for me! :D

One of my goals is to recreate as many as possible of the Epic Ork vehicles in the 30 mm scale. The current project is a Mekboy Stompa, a big brute using two Chimeras as feet. Makes a Landraider look small...

The photo album will be up after our wedding trip, as we are both a little too busy with work until then.

About Magic: I even published a magazine about the trading card games for a few years. Paper crack - you bet!

About Space Hulk: This may sound outright cocky, but I usually win, regardless if I'm playing nids or marines... ;)

RabidFox,

I See where the Confusion was in the First Part of My Post, I was Addressing the Overall Subject towards You, But was Including that Willypold had a Good Point, not that you had infered otherwise... So No Worries there...

As to K Vs. G for Representing Thousands... The Point may be a bit overly Dramatic, but Fact is we are Talking about Quantity over Distance or Weight, so I will Concede the Point as Plenty Valid...

And it really is Tough to Say how much the Overall Expense has Been since Many of these Things were Purchased New, Some Years ago, at Prices set by the Market at that time... Some of it Is Collectable Now and Some Not, (Which I recognize as Value, rather than Cost, which obviously is different, but worth Mentioning)... So Although the Last List may have been more Complete/Detailed, I Stand by my original Comment About "Many" Hobbies which Border one and another... I was Not Attempting to Include such Off topic items as Music and the like, Nor my Own "Other" Hobbies, just the Gaming Stuff, and not even to include Various Media that could be Construed as Game Related...

And your Welcome...

Anything in particular I'm looking for? More of Grenadier's old Future Warrior line, and - happiness and joy! - more of the Kryomek bunkers, now that I have found out they are still being made! :D

BTW willypold, have you looked at Ainsty's terrain? They even use some Future Wars figures in their pics of items.

They are at www.ainsty.co.uk/

They cover fantasy, near past, modern, near future and sci-fi quite well with their lines of terrain, both interior and exterior. Some of the lines can be used for most of the themes, such as their Yakkum Mine and the Sewers of Aldwark lines.

As far as sci-fi interiors, I really like these items:
Tech Tunnel:
1031 Medical Bay Set, 1032 SF Equipment Set, 1033 Power Pack;
Cargo Hold:
2751 Barricades, 2760 Spacesuits in Rack, 2761 Bed & Surround, plus most of the cargo containers/pods;
Pipe Farm:
6186 Power Pack II.

I just thought you, willypold, and others might want to take a look at their stuff. Some of it is really nice and a lot less chunky than the Grendel items.

Have a great day!

I like the avatar pic you have now supplied. I have tried and just cannot get something to meet their dimension requirements and then the size requirements. Maybe someday.

One of my goals is to recreate as many as possible of the Epic Ork vehicles in the 30 mm scale. The current project is a Mekboy Stompa, a big brute using two Chimeras as feet. Makes a Landraider look small...

Have you tried these two WEB pages to help in your quest:
Forge World: www.forgeworld.co.uk/
They even have 40K-size Squiggoths!
Crusader 29 whose web page is not working these days, but had really cool rollers and claws for orky tanks that you can still get from elsewhere.

The photo album will be up after our wedding trip, as we are both a little too busy with work until then.

Bon Voyage on your wedding trip.

About Space Hulk: This may sound outright cocky, but I usually win, regardless if I'm playing nids or marines... ;)

Ah, come on, just admit you are a lucky b#*^~@#!

I've looked in on the Ainsty page before and I visit the Forge World page regularly. So far I haven't bought any of their vehicles, but I do have older resin models from somewhere else, can't remember who made them, though.

Ainsty looks like something I would like to get into - in a little while, though.

About the avatar: This is an image I have residing on my regular web page, and I simply supplied a link. That way you can basically forget about size restrictions, although I wouldn't recommend going higher, pixel-wise...

There seem to be a Few Nice Ainsty Pieces, I particularly think that the "Caves of Gloom" could offer some useful additions to a DF Caverns Set... Course I Like not having to Paint stuff right Now... But for those of You Who Paint regularly any way, You most probably would not be much put off by having to do so... In any Event, if the Prices are Current, they do not "Seem" too bad... Speaking Of Painting, any Chance of Getting to see a bit of the "Project" before the Honey Moon?

Sorry. It will have to wait, as I still have too much of a freelance project to finish before we leave - it's a book about world mythology I and my wife have translated, and I still have have too much still to edit!
