Hey guys,

Saw CoolMiniorNot was hosting a kickstarter for their war game and its almost over. I have a dual mindset as I can see how a majority of these mini's will go with some of the campaigns I am going to be running with my awesome DF terrain. I also might use them for their actual purpose. anyway, if you are a KS junkie like me thought I would just let you guys know.

I like some of the sculpts, but I would be spending too much on too many figures that wouldn't fit most of my campaigns. I think I will try to trade for some, pick a couple up on e-bay, or just wait until they hit retail if any I want are out there as singles.

My players rue the day I bought "Dragon Mountain". Ever since they give every creature a bit more respect. You never know when the GM will decide that this group is crafty...

Yeah, I'm currently in with an EB AK plus extras, but still deciding if I want to stay there or drop down to two starters plus extras.

I doubt I'd ever play their game, so its just for the minis. I can see a use for selected scuplts from four of the factions (teknes just doesn't have a use for me). Hadross is rather easy/all useful. The others are all about 50/50 for me. Given the price point they're still nice and cheap.... but it might be time to start saving for DF KS II.

Yeah, Teknes is my least favorite. I figure I can adopt them into Gnomes riding mutated wear-rats, or riding small Ogres. I can work the rest in really easy. I went AK with extra addons, mainly mercs, and the rope girls from Shael Han. Thinking Big Horn might make a great boss fight in the future

As for DF KS2... I am already banking cash for that. :)

Had a chance for an early bird on this but the minis aren't all that appealing to me. I think CMoN is pretty late with their last game too, right?

Think I'll save for DF 2 and Reaper 2

Reaper 2?
Are they doing another "convert lead moulds into plastic moulds" project then?
I fear they will end up not selling pewter at all, in the long run, if this trend keeps up.

I like lead/pewter miniatures myself - Old school!

CMoN has a mixed record on timeliness.

Zombicide 1 I beleive was fairly close to on-time (just some minor angst over GenCon copies/sales being released before backer rewards) for the core game, and I think the second wave stuff was on-time. Sedition Wars was somewhat behind and suffered some quality issued. Zombicide 2 is on track for on-time. Relic Knights is woefully behind. Rivet Wars is delayed I beleive. Guilds of Cadwalllon was ontime.

I've said before, I really wish they the studios would run the kickstarter, not the publishing house. The studios are who controls most of the timeliness aspects and typically do a better job communicating with backers. They should live and die by there reputation, not CMoNs.

Yeah. I think someone said November.

I have a preference for lead/pewter myself, but since I mostly pick these up for my kid *cough* *cough*, I'd rather have a lower cost one, so the bones work great for me
