Hey Bio,

I thought you had been to my website: Keeblerstudios.com Sorry I assumed....and you know what happens when we assume.

I've been selling molds on that site for 1" tiles for 7-8 years.... mostly to HA folks. These molds are just an assemblage of those patterns reworked.
Personally I figured the floor pattern of the 6 x 8 room needed a bit of white space(no pattern) for the patterned parts stand out better and have room for weapons racks, furniture, bookcases....etc... It wouldn't take very long to create a floor pattern that was more like the 4 x 4 floor or the other smaller pieces. I also have an 8 x 8 pattern room in waiting that has the 1/2" around the perimeter and really think the white space in important to the design.

Picture is of the 2 x 2 Tiles second cast primed for paint

I think Stefan has his hands full with the projects he has on the board now last thing he needs is an old guy that does everything his own way...... But its a nice thought!

In regards to biowizard's question about the molds... I am guessing here but did you start with a piece of wood or metal, find some celtic knots pictures, load them into a water jet, and carve out the positives? I would imagine with a water drill this could be a straight forward approach. The alternative would be to use a 3d printer. I found one online that is priced ok and sent them some basic stuff. I was considering to send them something more complex. Just curious if either of my guesses is close.

Shadox..... For a while there I thought you didn't love me anymore having not commented on my post.....Har Dee Har Har....

You wouldn't want to use a water jet as at 100k to 125k PSI it would bast straight threw the material.

In this case I Laser engraved a piece of Syntactic Foam Composite (One of my Secret Weapons). The computer files are from other molds I have been selling on my website for years (predominantly to HA Builders) In this case I stripped the 1" tiles into basic units and created new patterns. #d Printed create some fun stuff but this wouldn't be one of them as creative patterns start showing up and the tiles would have to be highly reworked.... I don't like doing the same work 3 times to achieve mhah results. You would not get good results from a picture.... a fine line drawing maybe.... but again no substitute for a good cad drawing.

So you were yes and no on the accuracy and mindset..... but we still love you!

Har Dee Har Har!

While im thinking about it are any of you guys interested in Glow in the Dark Gelatinous Cubes?

a glow in the dark lime green GCube would be cool! Just curious have you ever experimented with glitter in the GCube with a LED under it to reflect off the glitter?

Your floor is really quite beautiful.

As a potential customer, I feel compelled to state that I buy only pieces that display a one-inch grid (for gaming purposes). Of course, it would be a sin to mar that beautiful floor with something as vulgar as an etched grid, but perhaps the marble could be painted as one-inch square tiles with just-barely-visible seams? Realistically, I suppose that this would entail painting a subtle grid onto the marble finish. Prosaic I know, but I need function as well as form.
