My concern is that more modules call for generic caves and unfinished passages than limestone-based caverns. Are there many limestone caverns above ground? I haven't been in one in ages!

Technically, there are no caverns of any type above ground.

My concern is that if the Game Tiles caverns are too similar to the Master Maze caverns, the GT caverns might actually supplant the MM caverns. However, I don't know if there are any other cavern types that would be as visually striking as what's been done already, and we don't want the GT caverns to look like something from some other company.

I would love to see some layered sandstone caverns. Those are very different from limestone, and some of them can be quite stunning.

Ha! I read that post yesterday, but had forgotten that you wrote it. Antelope canyon is a great inspiration. There are also similar caverns with a less wind-blasted surface that look very cool.

I'm considering trying to sculpt something like this myself, just for fun.

...and back on topic:

That KS design has the floors all wrong - The floors look far to much like a 'dungeon' not a 'cavern'.
That and the paint job is so bland and lacklustre that they may has well not have bothered.

Other than those two main issues. It is an 'ok' set. But far from a polished product.
Also - not available outside the US.

Question for Stefan / Jeff:
Q. Roughly roughly. (As a %) What did you guys find the split was in regards to monies invested from inside the US and outside the US ??

Currently designing modular elven city, modular sewers, dwarven ruins, custom cavern elements, ice caverns, and towers.

I would love to see the following sets in the future...
Ice caverns expansion set 2
Hellscape expansion set 2 (lava lake, rivers, lava falls)
Cavernous Rivers expansion waterfall

Good point JA. However, wasn't it said by Stefan at some point that they couldn't put the clear resin *water* into the Dwarvenite? If this is correct, then the DT Cavern pieces would not have the cool little bits of water here and there that the resin cavern sets have.

Waitaminnit!

Caverns AND Passages Kickstarter campaigns in the next 6-10 months?! I just spent triple my entire annual gaming budget on Game Tiles. Good grief... Anybody interested in a 38 year old kidney? Or maybe a lobe of my liver?

At least I have a few months to try to scrounge up some funds somehow...
