Hey Dandare,
I'm using Tea Lights in these units but let me tell you how different they are ... 5 different purchases from 5 different vendors and only one pack are worth using. The big surprise was one set has the Random Interval, Random Intensity, Random Duration LED's that were going to cost me $6 each in packs of 10... then I would still have to match a resistor to battery pack. One set of Tea Lights lasted about 4 hours even when I replaced batteries....worthless. Another set didn't put out enough light to see in the dark let alone low light and others only put out light directly in line with the tip of the LED. In the end its about the Design/Art of the item but I still want good stuff going inside these.

TexasStu said he will be posting a Video of the first one sold in his use...Yeah! and Go Tex! Keep your eyes out because Tex told me he's going to be selling some really cool treasure piles soon.... Very Soon!

Galahad... When you get ready to get some of these send me an Email and You will be first in line when I get more parts lined up. At this time I only have one left and its on Ebay under Keeblerorc.

I really want to thank you guys on the forum that have been so supportive of all my fun little projects.... Where there is excitement and creativity there is innovation and its all about Fun.

I would love to pick up eight of these fire pits in the next month or two if you still have them. They are perfect for a build I have in mind.

Jgardner44,

"Eight"...... What are you trying to corner the market on warm dungeons?

Or is there a truly cold Hearted Lich Queen in need of a little heat?

Maybe an Ice Cavern in need of melting?

A Giant Red Dragon suffering from a stuffy nose cold?

Could it be someone ate the Shroom's I produced and want to watch the pretty flames?

Did you just get your Tax Bill and catch the Shivers?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Love to POKE fun,
John

PS... Should have a dozen of these in a few days (Fingers Crossed)

I haven't got it YET but hopefully in a day or two! At first sticker shock gave me pause but then I thought about it. Mold, casting, electronics and the extras to 'get it right' would have probably cost me more than twice what I paid for it.
I probably would have bought more but doubt I'll need more than one at a time (for now).
I'm also expecting the balsa wood and sun crystals in the next day or so so I can get started on treasure.
I'm going to make several 'horde piles' as seen on that reaper craft thread but I decided to take it a step further and do chests as well! I want to make closed chests that open and have treasure inside as well as broken chests with treasure pouring out and a 'kicked a hole in the front chest' version with the treasure pouring out the hole. I'll post progress on my Facebook.com/TheMassiveMiniPaintingProject page for those who want to do their own. So far I estimate close to $100 on supplies but that should make a bunch!
And yes, I'll see about making a little video of Keebler's cozy fire so you can see the effect. I'm familiar enough with the type LED he refers to and there's no LED more realistic for a fire than random duration, random intensity AND random interval.
Thanks Keebler! I'm thrilled and more than a little honored to be your first customer!

HUG?

I will grab a few of these when I see them on ebay again along with some mushrooms. Do you take commissions for custom pieces?

Hello Everybody,

I have a Batch of Fire Pits in the works, should be ready to ship in 2 days... thought a few of you guys that have been asking would like an update.
I've been taking care of the people on the Forum First before listing on Ebay, as Ebay takes 10% of the top as well as the shipping which eats into the bottom line.

By the way Daniel, those are your crypts in the works.

Shadox, I do some commissions mostly of stuff that I already make but who knows what will inspire my next project.

All,
I received mine in the mail yesterday (UBER fast shipping btw) and I can't tell you how great these little babies are. Extremely well made and they look fantastic. The craftsmanship is top notch. I have to admit I'm a bit envious that my projects don't look as good. Do yourself (and your players) a favour and pick up one of these pits for your dungeon!

Keeblerorc,
Please expect an email from me soon. I have a question I'd like to ask you.

Thanks,

-Bob

Here's a video of the warm cozy fire:

http://youtu.be/UmiqIOBPlIA

I'm afraid my first attempt doesn't do it justice.
It's much better IMO in front of you than via YouTube!
And thanks for the bits, KeeblerOrc!!! :-)

Re:A Warm Fire Pit 1 Year, 3 Months ago
I will be placing an order for four once I get to see a brief video of the actual flame effect.

BTW - Currently enjoying all the slimes, mold/mould and oozes that are now safe and sound with me here in the UK. They are truly excellent!

I want to add (to see if anyone else likes the idea) for a 'Walls of' range.
Wall of Ice.
Wall of Water.
Wall of Force.
Wall of flame.
Wall of etc.
All perfectly sized to fill and fit in a DF corridor.
or several in a line to block off a section of a room / cavern.
etc.
