I thought I should tell everyone here that Mega Miniatures is unfortunately closing shop (www.megaminis.com/). You can still order some of their products for a limited time.

Darn it! I had to pick up a bunch of their stuff that I wanted in my collection. Unfortunately I had to say no to some of their townsfolk and farm animals because my budget wouldn't allow it.

Sad. Sign of the times, I suppose. They managed to stick around for awhile, they were pretty determined, with all the changes they made to find new ways of running the place.

I haven't personally shopped there in a long time, but they were my default place for years back when they still sold Reaper. Once they pared down their selection a lot they became more of a novelty thing for me, a rare purchase here and there. Sadly, with all the minis I have from DDM, Reaper and GW, plus some Rackham, I just don't have room for much else. Heck, I don't have room for more miniatures AT ALL, really. ;)

Still, it's a shame. They were a good company.

One of my regular USA painters I buy from off of ebay has over the years supplied me some of their unique animal and wizard decor items..
Always good value. Not the most detailed range around. Filled in a few nice niches Sad to say but pre-painted plastics will hurt all figure companies that are at the lower end of the market..

Any indication that they will sell their molds to another company?

I have about twenty of their minis on my "must have" list...

On their main page, it says that all their products are still available until the end of May. So, it is not yet too late! Also, it says that their molds will be sold to other companies after that.

Very sad. I hope it is a positive move for him. I love the Frog Warriors.

That's good news. I'm already looking at a summer eating peanut butter sandwiches and ramen noodles...

I just received a big order from them and I thought I would mention which of their miniatures I liked in person.

I give a big thumbs up to...
1. Beautiful spider sets
2. Great crocodile sets
3. Frog warriors are awesome in person
4. Their cobras are nice as well
5. I liked the pack horses and pack mules quite a bit.

I did not like
1. the scorpions/I've seen better elsewhere
2. the frog swarms looked much better on the website
3. Their figures are 25 mm scale and look smaller than my 28mm figures from the DF collection.

Thanks for this info. I ordered 55 minis and got a lot of forest animals ad villagers. They're at the painter and I will have them back the end of next month. I will post some pics then.
