I was thinking about purchasing the World's Largest Dungeon, but I wanted to check here to see if any DF users have played/purchased or seen it.

Since all the maps that come with the dungeon are scaled down, I'm wondering how easily Dwarven Forge could be used to recreate them. I've got a lot of DF so I'm guessing I could map a pretty large area at a time.

Like badwrong, or badong. Yes, killing is badong.
From this moment, I will stand for the opposite of killing, gnodab."

Hmmmmm.....

Worlds Largest Dungeon.

- NOT Dwarven Forge Friendly, set out rediculously bad.

You have lots of DF stuff.. You'll need it. The maps are HUGE! Unless you have the equivilent of roughly 30 floortiles (not to mention the walls, doors ect), you won't even be able to come close to making the first section/map. Then of course there is the 15+ Room & Passage sets that are required for the hallway sections.

Playability - The single worst module/adventure I have ever had the misfortune to play & DM. This is the single most boring adventure my players have ever played (this particular group has been gaming together for the last 10 yrs). The first trap the PC's will come across, is physically impossible for a 1st level Rogue to disable (Even when maxed out on ability scores and skills/feats). The encounters are LAME at best, and are so far between, that it requires a full circus (or other entertaining/noisy fair/gathering) just to keep players awake between (and during) the encounters. After playing the game for only 8hrs, my players all refused to go any further, when they met with/got killed by a single Ogre (while still at level 1). This Ogre was the 4th 'battle' encounter they came across, and was after 8hrs of gaming). We as a group, decided to pull the adventure apart (area by area) and concluded, that the Ogre was inevitable to meet no matter which way they went.

Out of a score of 10, I would give WLD a -25. I am so glad I did not purchase that item, and I will definitely be staying away from the Worlds Largest City. If they can't design a Dungeon properly, what chance do they have designing a complete City?!?!

Get rid of the WLD and spend the money on trained lemmings, and pens. You will get a better more playable adventure from the lemmings.

Yes thanks for the Info... I had been "Curious" about it... But not really willing to Drop the $80.00 on a Module I knew nothing about... Had not heard about the City Project... But at least with that maybe you could get a Nice Stock pile of Shops and NPC's?

If you want a nice stock pile of shops and npc's and in a matter of fact, one of the best cities ever done, check out the City State of the Invincible Overlord by Judges Guild recently redone in 3.5 by Necromancer Games.
