I made some new stuff with Hirst molds. A pool and a large room.

Best paint job I've seen on the HA dungeon stuff.

Thanks! Next I am going to make some more pools: a slime pool with a zombie hand reaching out, a blood pool with some bodies floating around in it, and a tar pool with a skeleton floating to the surface. I think I will make a mold for the basic pool tile though, instead of building it over and over.

Neat stuff. Perfect craftmanship. The pool is wonderful!

What I don't like from HA though is the thickness of the walls and the fact that the playable squares start half of an inch from the wall. I know it has to be done this way for improving the solidity of the plaster pieces but it makes for more bulky pieces.

Jericho,

Beautiful job, very professional looking.

I particularly like the pool. I assume you used a Hirst tower mold? Clever use of that mold for a different purpose. What did you use for the water? I recently purchased some Woodland Scenics Realistic Water to play around with, but I'm wondering what other options are out there.

Looking forward to seeing your other pools.

@Bio - Thanks! Yeah the thick walls and half tiles bug me a bit too. That is why you will never see me combine a Hirst passage with a DF passage, or a Hirst wall with a DF wall.

@Feymous - Thanks a bunch. Yes I got the Hirst 4" tile mold specifically for round walls and pools. I might eventually make a tower (lol). For water I used Envirotex. I picked it up at Micheals. This is a two part mixture that makes a pretty decent amount. I used a thimble full for the pool. Before I mixed the two parts I painted the floor of the pool with a blue/green paint. Then I used the same paint mixture mixed with some future shine floor polish and a bit of water to make an ink wash. I dripped a few drops of the wash into the clear part of the Envirotex, mixed it well, and then mixed it with the other part of the mixture and just poured it in.

I made a new small skull adorned pool. You can see it over on the Hirst forum.

Once again, very well done. I like the subtlety of it.
