I have a comment for you: f@#$@#ing awesome!

The only thing cooler than that is your phenomenal beard, my friend.

I love that piece -- I have some other recent GW terrain pieces (the chapel, the manor house, the Witchfane tor) and I love them all. There's something particularly appealing to me about the vaguely Lovecraftian anarchy of the GW aesthetic. It's all ramshackle, asymmetrical, vague hints of being a New England-esque port town (hence the Lovecraft), bits of metal and stone angrily and clumsily stuck together. This is one of their better pieces (though the skulls are a bit much -- I have lost the link, but some GW forum had a post by someone that was a photo of "Skullmanse of Skullingtown" or something like that, and it was just a giant skull adorned with many smaller skulls).

The paint job looks great, but of course we need to see more close-up pics for full drool-potential -- more please!

EDIT: I found the link, and I'd mis-remembered it. It wasn't a bunch of skulls, just one big one. I give you -- Skullhouse Awesome! (scroll down for the pic):

That is very cool. I've been looking at GW buildings for awhile now - are they hard to put together?

Actually, this one was since the upper stairs still won't stick for good. The others, like the chapel or the tower are really easy to put together as well as the temple of skulls (the one that resembles a hill). The round, broken tower (don't know the english title) is quite easy, too.

Awesome!

If only someone would assemble and paint them (GW Buildings) they could sell for the price of a DF set!

Hey fellow enthusiasts!

I have been busy painting in the last two months. Since the release of the new Citadel painting range I have been pretty much testing all kinds of new colours and how they work. My conclusion is that with those new colours, everyone is bound to achieve good results painting. But first things first. Here are a couple of pictures from miniatures I have been painting for use with roleplaying or table top gaming. Enjoy!

The one with the big axe and those spikes on the shoulder was a birthday present for me. That's nothing of the skill I have reached.
The dwarves though were only done by using the very basic techniques, like putting on a base colour, drybrushing and/or washing them. Even the bases were done on 10 miniatures in like 15 minutes. The last step was to put on the icon on their shields.

Look out for more soon to come stuff here.

Holy frickin' paintbrushes, Batman!!! That is absolutely an amazing job on the build and the paint job! I love it!!
And the paint jobs on those dwarfs may not have taken you much time, but the result is excellent. You do very nice work sir!
How long did it take you to make and paint the GW build?

Arcarius, if you are referring to the ruins the champion of nurgle is in, those are quite easy to do. Since it's mostly drybrushing. I used 3 of the Ruins of Osgiliath kits from the Lord of the Rings range plus a set of modular movement trays as a base. All are available from Games Workshop. The stairs are from the Uruk-hai siege troops.
When putting together the ruins, I cut the pieces in some places to glue them together again in different ways. Also instead of making them only one-story, I made it a 3-story building.
