That's nice work. I especially like the window and raised platforms. The curtain is superb. Excellent job Morgar!

The only thing that prevents me from ordering some of this stuff is that the website doesn't have a shopping cart function.

Me too.

And the fact that there is no US distributer, high inport taxes, shipping costs and lengthy shipping times...how dare he!

Hello,

I'm Morgarette and I work with Morgar. Well we read your posts and try to give you answers. First of all you have to know that we do all ourselves. We sculpt, make the molds, paint everything, those who buy our products have a very special and personal product. Of course it takes time because we can't work as quick as in a big china factory. As we only produce a little we don't have distributors. Having a distributor means that the items you are going to buy will cost more because the distributor will ask to pay him his service. Here in France we have the same problem with dwarvenforge's stuff and that's why eauropeans sometimes are a little angry.

We don't use the function cart on our website so as to be sure you have the good informations. Those who have alrealdy bought our products know that first we prepare the order. Once it's done we weight it so as to be sure you will pay the less expensive possible concerning the shipping. We use the official prices or the french office and don't make money on that. If you ask us about how much it will cost at the ordering we can tell you approximativly.
The last thing concerns the high import taxes. Well I'm not president yet^^ and I don't make laws. Unfortunalty we have the same problem when we buy products coming from the USA. The taxes are terrible. We make small sets so as to try to limit the taxes but as you know we can't be sure you will have or not to pay it. Hear in France sometimes we don't pay it when the parcel is small and bigger it is more you might have to pay the taxe.

So well....I't not really "how dare he" but can he find an other solution ? We don't know everything and maybe you have a solution that can be good for all of us.

Have a nice day

Morgarette and Morgar from Psomminiature

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. That little symbol at the end of my post is supposed to be a wink. I'm not at all upset or even care about any of those things I mentioned, I was just poking fun at HQF who is (famous?) for complaining about the exact same things when ordering DF from this side of the pond.

I do hope to add some of your marvelous pieces to my collections at some point...maybe even through the DF web-site if the mentioned possible partnership between you and they ever comes to fruition!

Take care!

Lovely fort - my only comment/suggestion is that the logs should be "pointed/sharpened" like an old US Cavalry fort. You could get around the stacking issue by drilling holes into the underneath of the pieces.

Erf, the set is designed principaly to figure huts, barbarian's village and pointed/sharpened part is annoying if you do multiple floors (To note moreover that we prepare grounds in logs which we can put on the hard-packed surface) but as you see you can also do fortifications.
