PROJECT X 2 Years, 8 Months ago
AS I SIT HERE IN MY ALCHEMIST'S LABORATORY/STUDIO, I AM WONDERING WHAT YOU GAMERS WOULD LIKE TO SEE INCLUDED IN THIS NEW DF PROJECT (I AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON PROJECT X...STEFAN WOULD HAVE ME PUT IN AN IRON MAIDEN IF I REVEALED ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION...HE IS VERY CRUEL SOMETIMES)

LETS JUST SAY THAT I WOULD LIKE TO INCORPORATE AN INDICATION OF SOME TYPE OF SEWER OR DRAINAGE SYSTEM...VISUAL ELEMENTS...AND I AM TRYING TO SETTLE ON WROUGHT IRON DRAIN OR STONE DRAIN COVERS...ANY SUGGESTIONS? IMAGES? REFERENCE?

Cool!

I would like iron barred grates too. Square ones in the floor but round arches for wall pieces?

Some wooden lashed planks to make jury rigged bridges across the sewers would be cool, as would some flotsam and jetsom pieces with flat bottoms that can be laid on the sewer waters to make floating islands or obstacles in the water would be cool too!

Better get those thumb screws and iron maidens ready Stefan - the cat's out of the bag with this one!

I for one will definitiely be buying three of these even if I have to order them from the states!

AWESOME FEEDBACK FRIENDS!! KEEP IT COMING!! YOU HAVE MY IMAGINATION STIRRING!

I HAVE BEEN VIEWING IMAGES OF ANCIENT SEWER SYSTEMS AS WELL-BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECTURE IS RATHER AMAZING. MAKES ME WANT TO HANG OUT IN THE SEWER..SOUNDS STRANGE..HAHA.

I would love to see red brick type construction just so it looks radically different than the classic room sets. Regardless of how they are done I will pick some up!

Here's an inspirational image from an actual ancient roman sewer (although for DF I would probably prefer something more dirty and rough).

Here's an idea...
For a long time, a lot of DF fans have been asking for catacombs.
If we're thinking about the underground of Paris, it's sewer system is intertwined in close proximity with bone yards. Perhaps a few walls of this set could be filled with skulls?

BOTH THESE IMAGES ARE AWESOME...AND NOT UNFAMILIAR TO ME...(WORDS ECHOING DOWN A VAST CORRIDOR....)

THANKS FOR THE BONE WALL PICTURE AND BRIEF BACKGROUND-I HAVE ONLY SEEN A SHOT OF THIS WALL FROM THE FRONT. YOUR PIC SHOWS MORE OF A 3-D VIEW WHICH IS VERY INTERESTING. GOOD SEEKING, SEEKER. CATACOMBS, SEWER, AND EVEN A RUINS OF SOME SORT...ALL BUT A DREAM...WAS IT MERLIN THAT SPOKE THESE WORDS?

I HAVE AN IDEA FOR SOMETHING FAR OUT AND SURREAL...CAN'T GET THE IMAGES OUT OF MY HEAD...TIME TO LOCK MYSELF IN THE TOWER OF MADNESS...
